I don't know which is going to be/look better, X360 or PS3, but I am curious about both systems. I'm not going to buy one though since I won't have the money for it anytime soon. But that killzone demo looked gorgeous, it made that FF7 technical demo look average IMO.

Microsoft will try and pour money into xbox360 to counter the ps3, But what microsoft dont seem to realise is, its the people who create the consoles and games that make the system great, Microshaft is probably throwing money at stupid and/or opportunistic people,where as sony is using clever people, Sonys tech demos were absolutely amazing, xbox360's was ghost recon.

I doubt any of these systems will be emulated for a LONG time.:lol: The FFVII demo looks really, really nice. I'm kind of excited about these new systems!

Perhaps it's easier to emulate PC games on the PS3

Indeed. They are porting FFXI to the XBox 360. However Square have also been quoted as saying that the main FF franchise will remain on Sony's machine.

I'm not a fan of the pad. I'm thinking I might have to get a converter to use my Xbox or PS2 pad on it. However, saying that, that was how I originaly felt about the XBox-S pad, but it grew on me.

All controllers take a while to get used to I think, but the PS3 one seems too round to fit my hands comfortly. Also, it looks like it has only 2 triggers. (I've only seen the frontside yet)

The KillZone demo is enough to make you soil yourself, and the FFVII tech demo, looks loverly, of course I'd expected it to look 'simple', to keep with the original FF7 style of fairly flat colours, still...wouldn't it be nice for a '10th' anniversary remake of FF7...

MS just announced that they will have backwards compatibility and square-enix. Man.... I'm gonna have to get both x360 and ps3. There goes the money I was saving up for my pc.

Microsoft Corporation said unfortunately it will be limited backward compatibility. I’m guessing the worst case situation will be that less then half of original games will run. (if even that.)

The FF 7 Demo looked nice! i liked it very much!
And about the killzone thing anyone who likes shooters, Halo & such stuff will like it ^^

To say that I am not impressed would be a lie.
Console design...extremely cool IMO. The black one specially.
Controller Design...Looks stupid and non-innovative, let's see how it fits in hand.

Games:

Killzone:
I can't believe that it was all in game realtime. Its just too good. IF it is realtime, then MS must hate Halo3 for releasing it on the PS3 launch. I am sold to the environment created in this game and overall graphics. It is TRUELY next gen.

GT5:
Oh c'mon, GT4 with higher res, no jaggies and slightly better textures would look like that. But it has more cars though, add a bit of damage models in and it ain't so bad....but not really a killer show.

Tekken6:
Oh, superb. Fantastic. But again, is it REALTIME? will all characters be THIS detailed ?!

The Getaway:
Fantastic again. I think with me asking so many times "Is it realtime?", it MAY be realtime. Now it makes sense why Sony officials called XBOX360 an XBOX 1.5 when defining the transition from PS2 to PS3.

Devil May Cry:
One game where extra visual eye candy may not be that required for it to rock. But the way Dante jumped and spun and his hair and coat moved....again, if THAT's going to be the end product......ugh...ok ok,

Simple, PS3 impressed me. XBOX360 impressed me too but I feel Sony is aiming for a knockout in the "warm up" round

You add PS2 and PS1 backwards compatibility ..... RIP MS.

Well, I was hoping that GT5 would get a little more detail than those screenshots

I mean, the only difference between 4 and 5 are those technicians in the box lane, but in fact the environments and the cars are pretty much the same as they have already been in GT4. I hope that they'll work a little harder on this new version, because I've seen screenshots of Project Gotham Racing 2 (or was it 3?) which looked better than those!

looking at the screenshots that ppl have posted (the new ones), i agree with what was said by Syed Fawad. a lot of it is impressive, but is so good that it asks the question "is it in realtime"?
