Lord of the Rings (seen 1 and 2) were both great movies, despite being 4 hours long.
Okay now that's going a bit too far. Borne Ultimatum was 2x better then it.

The Borne Ultimatum? What the ****, that's a completely different film genre as a whole. You can't compare it to The Lord of the Rings.

The only thing LOTR movies had was the fact they were really well pictured.after that...nothing special. 7/10 too.

LOTR is a perfect example of good adaptation, despite changing some things, cutting here and there, etc. it follows the books very well and I bow to Peter Jackson for completing this extremely difficult task.
Of course not everyone has to like it, but then again not everyone has to like fanatasy novels
As it's my best book ever, I was really picky with the movies. They're great (especially the Director's Cut versions)!

I own all of the movies, great movies. I seriously watch one each day still.
The books are great too ^^
I agree. Beat up whoever says otherwise.

My point is that it wasn't a really really exceptional movie and that there are others which I'd rate higher (even if they are of a different genre).

I agree, it was a great film, best Nicolas Cage movie ever! he really nailed his character here, the story was good, I really really loved the ending.
You're like someone who might say: "Cod4 is better than Zelda", you can't compare to things from different genres, name one fantasy movie that's better than LoTR!
