well all i gotta do is input, resolution and change the sound sampling (44khz). thats about 20-30 seconds probably, but it would be nice if it was like SNES9x which had a registry setting that saved all that stuff.

They aren't. It's being used as an incentive for people to wait for the true final version.

No it isn't a dumb reason. They are not adding the SDD-1 compression until the final Star Ocean patch is finished to prevent n00bs flooding the ZSNES board with requests or problems. It will be in ZSNES very soon, and you have gfx packs anyway until then.

And using the registry is a backwards step. Visualboy Advance just got rid of the registry which is a good thing because it is easily alterable. A reg key is bad for many reasons, such as n00bs not knowing where the reg key is, as well as it being practically ineditable. A CFG/INI file can simply be deleted to "reset" the emulator much more safely than fiddling with registry settings.

@Clements :wave:
i´m ABSOLUTLY your opinion, regarding reg entrys!
glN64 and ePSXe executor also using this -_-
after new win instal. or on diffrent System you have to reconfigure -_-
thats IMO an BIG disadvantage
also my Win 98 reg is kinda trashy and glN64 load/save its setting from reg so i suffer also...
i would appreciate that EVERY Emuautor wouldn´t use the reg , but its up to them like i said imo big disadvantage...
regarding ZSNES SDD-1 Support yeah i´m looking forward to play SF Aplha 2 WITHOUT GFX pack!!!
