When I open the emulator it open the main window of the emulator but without the background, and almost immediately windows says that the program is not responding. I checked the task manager and I saw that it was completely stuck (no disk, CPU or GPU usage). The last time I ran this emulator was about 2 months ago and it worked just fine. I also tried running the exact same files on another PC and it worked. could there be something on my PC that can cause it? (I'm using windows 10, and I tried ePSXe ver 2.0.2 (the version I always used) and 2.0.5 (the newest at the time of this post))
Note: someone else posted on this forum something that looked like my problem, but he/she didn't told the exact "story" as I did here, and he/she switched emulators instead of solving the problem, and I prefer working with the emulator that I had known for years instead of learning a new one.

My minecraft forge server also started to fail when I open it (on my PC) in about the same time, this may have been caused by the same thing.

I would suggest downloading the latest version of Duckstation and use that instead since development on ePSXe is dead:

I tried running ePSXe as an administrator and it works fine, I don't know what caused this problem, but at least it is solved without me having to learn a new emulator.

Why continue to constantly be complacent by using antiquated software w/ no chance of revival where there hasn't been a development update since 2016 (especially since it's closed source)? This "new emulator" is basic and w/ a quick Google search you could've easily found a guide to help you learn how to use it:

Except for this issue, I never encountered problems with ePSXe (Most emulators have graphics problems and I'm too lazy to find the perfect settings for every game). If I will encounter another problem later that I can't fix I will try another emulator, but for now, I prefer staying with the emulator that I know without having to learn how to use a new one and transferring the save file.
