They are such idiots.... people will not like that crap and they will get troubles again. People will find ways to avoid such crap and is great we heard about this kind of "Shaddy" moves by Microsoft. Wonder who is the idiot making such stupid decisions at Microsoft.

Just upgraded to Windows 10 on an old laptop. Better than I expected to be honest.

Related:
A pirated version of Windows 7 cracked with one of the OEM loaders (or whatever your call it) upgrades to Windows 10 and it shows as being genuine and activated. Not that I know this from experience or anything.

^Even a pirated version of windows 8.1 with kmspico gets activated actually, now that i know this from experience or anything :p.

That said i finally ended up changing my DVD-RW, after 10 years of use it started to show its age, it still reads perfectly but it doesn't always have successful writes, i've must've burned over 1500 DVD's with it and now its time for it to get some rest, not trowing it however, keeping it since it still works fine but slow and it was the first i ever got :p.

He's talked to me about what he burns and it's quite errm... Interesting :-D.

One wonders how he manages to keep track of 1500 discs. Do you have everything catalogued in a programme with GPS coordinates for every item?

Also, I used to have that model (or similar) a decade ago. It makes us kin in spirit! <3

Just mentioning it's not necessarily a decision that came from MS, but perhaps one that was imposed upon it by 'parties capable of creating major pain for MS'... Even IBM caved in the days, despite it causing a major loss of earnings.

This is nothing compared to their original xbone plans.
Microsoft intended to take your privacy, tie you down, rape you and steal your walet for the privlege.

Never forget, ever.

Edit: then they would rape you again, let's not understate how rapey they really are, always keep your back up and obfuscate all your personal pc usage.

If joseph fritzl was a company, it would be microsoft

Yep, but they suddenly changed for the better and turned things around in an awesome way. That is why i like to call out companies because while everybody gets loud at MS others get free passes. I think the greatest power is when people come together and get loud but if we stay shut things will just get worse.

They never really gave that up, they only caved back then so the console would not instantly flop... It's likely showing back in updates as "convenience" to folks who already bought the consoles.
Just look at Windows Hello (login system), keeping the webcam activated even if you disabled it everywhere (secret settings).

Dont forget that Xbox One is due for a major OS upgrade to align itself with Windows 10. I'm sure it will make a difference between pre-w10 and post-w10 consoles, and not just in "telemetry".
