Some people claim the PS4 version of The Witcher 3 has suffered a minor visual downgrade (likely to improve the framerate), but the developers claim no such thing has happened.
The visual downgrade seems to be similar to what happened to the xbox one, so it's probably true. The developers also claimed they didn't touch the graphics of the PC version, up until the day the game actually released when they finally went "Well, yeah, but...".
Either way, a little disappointing to see developers focus on removing visual effects rather than pushing the optimization a bit. They could get more out of the consoles, compared to what they currently have.

When i read the comments of so many PS4 owners pissed over the horrible framerate i really wish they will just show Sony the middle finger and simply downgrade the resolution for the better to provide steady framerate or apply dynamic resolution like the XB1 version. But who knows... maybe is harder than what it seems and Sony simply put pressure over them like Ready at Down pretty much confirmed with there latest news. Honestly, PS4 owners should stand and get loud but i fear most are sold to the 1080p crap.

I will give Dark Souls III the last try of the series... if they really improve the sandbox hit crap like people say then i will turn into a fan but if not i will forget about the serie forever.

I suspect the frame rate issue probably has big chunk to do with their code optimization. One very obvious thing is, even the inventory interface is lagging too, how can a simple interface showing 2D item pictures be lagging so badly? (even if it is 3D, it shouldn't be lagging, it has nothing needed super high processing power in an inventory interface) This somehow reminded me of when FFXIV version 1.0 launched, all interface were lagging like hell even on the best PC that time, changing a gear taking ages. After re-coding the client, everything became smooth.

I am keen to see naughty dog's UC4, if naughty dog can come out with the same level or even better graphics without lagging / frame rate issue, then pretty much sure The Wicther's developers need to work harder on their code optimization.

It all depends what they do in the background and how a inventory interface is done. Most of the time rendering a inventory on your screen is done by rendering as a overlay. That being said even if the inventory takes the whole screen the game is still running behind it causing lags etc. I do agree that it may need some optimizations but i fear the problem may be far deeper than we think taking in count the recent patch was meant to optimize things on both consoles. The XB1 is now locked to 30fps as far as i know and judging by the steady framerate it has now it was probably done on purpose not to make the PS4 version look even worse framerate-wise. In the other hands The Witcher 3 is not the only game suffering from such problems as we have Bloodbourne a first party game that runs terrible as we know by now.

Naugty dog is well known for offering great games but judging by the latest gameplay they downgraded the graphics quite a bit. Whatever is going to keep steady framerate remains to be seen but i have hopes in naugty dog's skills to provide a stunning experience.

I'd be happy with a RE2 remake...
^This, it is one of only 2 RE games I care to see come to PC
RE2make would be nuts, I also want to see a PS3/360 port of RE:CV released on PC as well.

Yup. I think i can test this out by going to a room and face the wall (so what the game needs to render that time is just an empty wall, not the whole see-able screen).

I have yet to downloaded the second patch, heard that would solve / lessen the inventory lagging issue. Will do it in this 1-2 days and see how is the performance.

I think the Xbox issue has nothing to do with making PS4 version looks good. The Xbone version just didn't lock the FPS, and actually, it probably is the Xbone version that made PS4 looks bad due to Xbone showing higher FPS than the PS4 version when doing side by side FPS comparison testing.

Not many improvements there but what else do you expected? the game is awesome in its default form and is extremely hard to raise the bar when is already perfect. I have to admit that i expected more changes to the battle system though but so far is looking fantastic and i can't wait to play it on my PC. SF is the only fighting game that could beat or compete my current king.

Watching this video makes me realize how much effects, lighting and other stuff have evolved in KI as most specially the initial ones had pretty basic effects and colors in comparison to now(most specially sabrewulf attacks). I think SF will do the same... it will provide a great experience from day one and then keep improving.

Bandai Namco has revealed that Tales of Zestiria will be coming exclusively to the west on PS4 and PC in October. The trailer they released today doesn’t show any footage of either of those versions, but I’m sure screenshots and photos will arrive as more information becomes available.

Tales of Zestiria will release on PS3 and PS4 on October 16th while Steam will have its release on October 20th.

Haven't had the chance to play any of the newer Tales games, hopefully this one doesn't disappoint.

Instinct mode in SFV hell yes!!! finally SF players will get a little of KI awesomeness at least. I have to say that i expected more changes to the fighting system but seeing Combo counters a lá Shadow-Counters and instinct mode like KI i think SFV is going to be amazing. Still the default fighting style seems boring as usual with the usual attacks but with the adition shown in the video it could make the whole experience better and quite interesting at times and most specially V-Triggers which works as shadow moves in KI. SF players aren't aware about how important instincts are and how it could turn a match around if used properly so is nice to see the use of it outside KI. However, the most interesting part is how well instincts are gonna affect each character which is what makes instinct modes in KI that interesting and unique.

I can't wait to get the game on PC and study the new mechanics and see how i can take the most out of my favorite character and be competitive in matches.

V-Trigger or "instint mode" is not something new for SF players.

V-Trigger copies + evolves from SF Zero series' system. You could do Ultra, Super, or sacrified super gauge to activate another attack mode. (Even in SF4 there are 2-3 characters have similar system. Either triggers with Ultra or Super gauge, depends on the characters)
V-Reversal similar to blocking-counter-attack from KOF series.
Seems to have parry system copied / evolved from SF3 series too.
