Microsoft’s comments don’t address the free rumors around Xbox Live.

I think one big reason for the rumor was due to MS removing the year-long subscription, but then it appeared as if the removal was to push year-long subscriber toward the Ultimate Pass, while still keeping paid online. (Simply wrapping it into ultimate, and pushing people toward ultimate, while still offering 3 months subs for anyone not willing to make the switch)
I'd still prefer free online, it's one thing I've mentioned they could use as a big selling point.
I am now very worried about Bloodlines 2.
They've fired two leads working on the game. Most importantly: they've fired the guy who designed and wrote the story for the first Bloodlines.
I didn't worry about the delays because I still believed the game was in good hands. They brought people back from the first game and I trusted that those people were willing to make the sacrifices (time and money) to give us a proper sequel eventually. Taking that into account, delays were fine.
But now the leads get fired, and a new "consultant" is brought on board to finish the game. A consultant with no ties to the series, and who's job mainly seem to finish the game without any further the delay.
And this is where I get worried.
To me, this sends a message: the original leads weren't willing to cut content and features to ship the game in a lackluster state, so we're firing them, and replacing them with someone willing to make those cuts so we can get rid of the game.
The way those firings came as a surprise to the employees, and the timing of it after the delays, just make it seem even more suspicious.
Whoa, cool trailer. I can't blame anyone who has a decent rig buying it day 1. Me OTOH even if I had a solid rig have a huge backlog and with my PC down again have a long time before I'll be playing that backlog.
A former Bungie/Halo employee is being brought as Project Lead on Halo Infinite.
While MS claimed the game was delayed due to the Covid, the way they're reshuffling the development of the game seems to show the real reason was because of how disappointing the game looked to fans of the series.
I guess they don't want to admit it just yet to save face, but if they're delaying it to softly reset the game and make something better, I approve of the decision. It's best to delay and create something excellent.
The PC version of the Xbox Game Pass is coming out of beta. The price will now be doubled in most regions, and tripled in a few.
There wasn't a significant patch or update to celebrate coming out of beta, the only difference compared to yesterday is the price. The next big change will be EA games being added during the holidays.

While it's true that there may have been limited options in the past to address this issue, there are still steps you can take to increase your chances of avoiding Smurfs in CS:GO. One effective strategy is to maintain a high trust factor. Trust factor is a system implemented in CS:GO that takes into account various factors, such as your in-game behavior, reports, and commendations from other players, to determine your trustworthiness as a player. By being a positive and well-behaved player, you can improve your trust factor and increase your chances of being matched with other like-minded players.
