There are some places higher up in the Drakensberg mountains where it's like that but I've never been there.

Day VS Night? Or just trying out different camera filters? Or some sort of eclipse?

The dark photos are fairly close (with some slight exaggeration) to what I actually saw during the moon's close proximity to earth, plenty of light and a lot of reflection off the ocean.

The photos that look like daylight were taken 10 seconds later with a 60 second shutter speed, I've taken minute long photos during a full moon and they were no where near as vibrant as those pics. All of these shots were taken around 20:00. The rest of the photos were taken with around 20 seconds of shutter speed, although I have a lot more photos taken, these were the ones I liked the most.

It's not often I get the opportunity to take such surreal photos, the implication that it's day with the super bright moon, with the strong shadowing of night.

Wow ok those are some stunning shots then, thanks for sharing.
Didn't bother going out and looking at the moon myself since though I'm in a suburb I'm close enough to the city that there's too much interference from city lights.

The only way to get "decent audio" ie sound that doesn't sound recorded is to use a plug-in mic.

If you want to get good results, for videos use camcorder, for pictures use camera. If something is for everything it usually is for nothing...

SLRs with video option are a joke, more like a try to appeal to those people who like to show off and think buying an SLR will make them professional photographer. And of course the more mpix the larger their e-wang.

I wouldn't swap my Olympus E500 for anything else and it's an ancient DSLR with 8 mpix.

Very different scenery and surrounding to what you're used to huh Fadz? Managing to settle in there ok?
