why does dolphin say i have something like 16 cores? while the device manager show's 12 processors?

i cannot believe how fast a 6 six core intel setup is..it's a monster i have a core 2 quad 9650 and this xeon setup gets atleast 60fps more on EVERYTHING i throw at it..even with a low end videocard such as my r7 240...

what exactly is the x5650 based off of?? i've used a intel i7 920 and 940 and there weren't no where near as fast as this $100 lga 1366 chip i bought on ebay...

why does cpuz say this is a 3066mhz chip??

Now, now don't be to harsh on the guy maybe he just want to know a bit more about his processor :p.

Because the Processor actually has 6 cores and 12 threads, dolphin isn't really designed with that many cores in mind, neither are Xeon that much used in gaming so that must be why it reports a bit unusual.

Its based on the Westmere the 32 nm Nehalem die shrink, and an aquivilant to its shared architecture is the Core i7 980X. As for CPU-Z its probably because turbo is activated, while the CPU has a frequency of 2.66 Ghz with Turbo activated in can go up to 3.06 Ghz.
