Well, NVidia was a much higher seller last year, but ATI is rapidly taking over. I have both chipsets in my computer and I can see the greater performance in the ATI. And they are supposed to be equal competively. Anyways, let's hear your opinion.

PC magazine did some tests comparing the Radeon 8500 and the GeForce3 Ti500, and the Radeon beat the GeForce3 in only 1 of their 8 tests, and the margin was minimal (I believe the Radeon won by 2% or something). the Radeon takes a major performace hit when anti-aliasing is enabled. neways, NVidia makes way better cards, esp. now since the GeForce4 is out and it owns every other grfx card on the market (not to mension it drives down the prices of it's lesser counterparts, namely the GeForce3 and 2)

I believe there was a previous poll on this...

From what I've used, and what I've seen in benchmarks Nvidia is the current performance leader. ATI cards on the other hand tend to have better image quality and better 2D features. ATI is quickly catching up though.

I agree with Demigod79, but I have something to add: ATi make great cards, with great specs and nice features. However, they seem to have a problem with drivers development, which holds back their card's performance. NVidia is really good at making drivers, and they really take the most from their cards.

This has been discussed many times before.
