Just curious whats everyone using these days.

I use to use 800x600 16bit when i was using my intel extreme card, but since i got my ati radeon 700064mb, i keep it on 1024x768 32bit colors. Any higher and my brain hurts. :nono:

800x600 at 85 Hz.

My video card actually supports WAY higher resolutions. The problem is that my monitor is sooooooo ancient that I can't use anything higher than 800x600 with 85 Hz... I can use 1024x768 with 60 Hz... But 60 Hz hurt my eyes!
I'm using 800x600 @32bit for exactly the same reasons. And yes, video cards, even my ancient one, allow up to much higher resolutions. Even mine supports resolutions higher than 1600x1200.

I play games at 800x600 32bit 60HZ, or if a game is to powerful i set it on 640x480 16bit and it still looks good. I am sick of buying new cards and all that bs, so this ATI radeon 700064MB is the last card that i bought, and the last card which i plan on buying for this computer.

General, how old is your monitor? I thought I had an ancient one, but at least it's able to display 800x600 @ 85 Hz.
