There are some boring moments in JRPG: long dialogues and density of main heros
What do you think?
May I correct you on this one, Xenosaga I had a nice battle system, or may I say special attack system at least. But the pain about Xenosaga II is that it's battle system is way too complicated and slow, why do I need to figure out what the enemies "break combo" is befor I can do the actual damage? If you don't than the battles (especially random ones) get a real pain in the ass. The other thing is that leveling is almost useless, except for the skills. It doesn't matter how strong you are, if you get the break and the air, you win. I've read a faq about the battlesystem on GameFAQs, it was about 30 pages of text.Lobo said:Xenosaga did bad.
yeah, SH is just about my favourite series right now. i just finished playing it and i felt no boredom, just as you said.didamangi said:And the game is just plain fun, I can't believe I've spend 40+ hours without feeling any kind of boredom in a jrpg game, but in SH2 it happened.
I liked it too, but I still got bored at times. It was, however, one of the few games where I didn't try to avoid random battles like a plague.Exodus said:yeah, SH is just about my favourite series right now. i just finished playing it and i felt no boredom, just as you said.
I liked that part, even though I did feel a little cheated.I personally think that the second disc of Xenogears is totally messed up... Being my fav jRPG of all the time I just can't stand that when you reach CD2 your fun is reduced to reading the dialogs and fighting from time to time. I belive the reason is that Square was finishing the game in rush, so they had to do it that way, BUT I think it wasn't a good move...
Well, I did notice, although I felt I little cheated like darian says. I put it in a little wrong manner in the previous post, 'totally messed up' is not a good sentence. I love this game no matter what and I always will. I agree with you, the plot is really complicated and deep. It's almost impossible to understand it fully by playing the game only once...Mr. Killjoy said:Maybe you didn't notice, but Xg is all about the story, and even if CD2 feels different to the average player, it makes it the game with the MOST ADVANCED PLOT seen in any RPG.
