Hello, i am just curious as to what usb adapter people are using to play with their playstation2/playstation controllers on the pc. Any help would be appreciated.

i use a REALLY horrible one by "Boom!" that i got from Lik-Sang...meh it does its job but it has its fair share of problems. sometimes it wont start itself, so i have to go and unplug and replug it, and it doesnt have force feedback support.

Also check for comptibility with ddr mats, most usb adapters have a problem with them, they dont let you press opposite directions at the same time, like left+right, or up+down; this is because it maps the directional pad as POV directions, unlike some other adapters (fewer) that map them as buttons, also parallel port adaptors dont have this problem.

I have a radioshack psx to usb adapter and i like it, works great with the games i play, but it also suffers from this dpad problem (only games i think this is a problem are from the DDR series)

hushypushy, it does have force feedback support, i use it and i have it ;) . You'll have to force the driver update in the device manager. I suppose you have the original disc, if not, you can download the drivers from the own lik-sang.

I personally find the boom adapter very nice, works like a charm for me. I use it with ePSXe, but also with pc games (it's great to have it for PES3, designed for ps2 pads :D )

I'm using a Super Joy Box 3 I got off of eBay. It works, well, almost everything except the Force feedback with ePSXe. If anyone knows what settings I should use, mind tellin me? I'm playing LoD right now, and it would make the experience whole.

Type: DirectXJoy#(the type of controller... I'm honestly not sure what this is, but setting it to either 2 or 3 works for me. Others report 1 as the best, try experimenting)
Big Motor: Constant
Small Motor: Sine

Keep in mind that emulation of force feedback is far from perfect. Don't expect it to work perfectly(or at all) in some(really any in my experience) games.

Also make sure that you have installed the proper driver for your box or force feedback may not work(the default driver that windows loads works fine for everything but forcefeedback in most cases).

I use the SuperDualBox by Mayflash, btw. Works great.

see, not the same one...by hte way, i think the actual connection is messed up, when i plug in my PSX controller it's not getting power out to it...the analog light wont turn on, and it acts like nothing is plugged in (at the windows control panel for controllers)
