Mount your ISO (using daemon tool).
Use the internal CDR plugin and select the virtual drive created by daemon tool (after you mounted the iso of course), if no luck use Xeven CDR plugin.

what does it do on other emulators?

What region your game is from ? PAL/NTSC ?
While mounting the iso (using daemon tools), any errors ?
Post any errors the output console shows ? (if any).

i have the PAL.
I have no errors. i mounted the it with Daemon tools and ran the game the same thing happend. the main menu come but when i start the game just a blanck screen
i used the other emulators the same thing happend.

what format is the image you made in? if your game is PAL you should be using .ccd/.img/.sub format due to the copy protection the majority of PAL region games have. either do that or just play from the game disc itself.

Well I do own the PAL version, and it works perfectly :p (at least I'm in game), check the scrshots

Tomb Raider [GAME ID : SLES_000.24]

but are you playing from the disc or from an image there hanibal? it would probably work fine when doing it from the disc but with an image the copy protection would mess things up if the image does not include every bit of data from the disc. to deal with that problem you would either need to do an image in .ccd/.img/.sub like i said earlier or patch it with a .ppf patch to bypass the protection.

Actually playing it from a mounted image created in CDI format (using discjugller to dump/make copies from all my original CDs) and mounted with daemon tool.

thanx hanibal81 & jonc2006 for your help.
i used the Pete's CDR ASPI/IOCTL Driver 1.10 plugin and mount the image with Deamon tool it worked but it is slow and the scary music inside the game is not working.
but thanx for you support alot

No, no and no.
I've posted the solution to the TR1 & TR2 problem in every 'Tomb Raider problem' thread I don't know how many times now and I know for sure it works (either with BIN or CCD) it's frustrating nobody ever notices. Argh.
This should be stickied somewhere or it will be another x years of useless 'what-is-your-cd-image-format-use-daemon-tools' 'TR' threads.

Daemon Tools is not needed.

1. Use Mooby2 2.8 cdrom plugin, uncheck 'subchannel reading' in the settings of that plugin.
(Just in case: also make sure 'repeat all cdda' is checked, and 'cdda volume' is set to something like 50 or 60. Or else you won't hear anything.)

2. Launch the game with File -> Run CDrom (browse, find and select your cd image as the window pops up.)

I recommend using Eternal 1.41 sound plugin with default settings along with this.

Yes this works with TR2 too.

You don't need MagicDisc either, you simply do not need a virtual drive to play games with ePSXe, except maybe with some alcohol mds/mdf images.

Mooby2 plugin launches cd images by itself (File -> Run CDrom).

I've tried both games in various formats: BIN, CCD, IMG, MDS (spent a lot of time on that TR matter) and they all worked fine using the Mooby2 'no subchannel' trick.

don't use Bin/Cue with these games, they aren't good for CDDA tracks.

Hey I need a little help, thanx in advance to whoever helps. Ok so I just caught in the last post that .cue files wont work with this method. Basically I already downloaded tomb raider 1 off coolrom & when I go to open it using this plug in & method the .cue file doesnt show.

So is there anyway to convert a .cue file into an .img file so I can play the game using this method & if not where do I download the game in this other format? This is just what im understanding from reading this thread, im not great with computer slang so bear with me please lol. Also thanx for coming on & explaining stuff on this matter lensLarque
