Has any one experienced this game? Tales of Phantasia by Namco?? I was wondering if I should play the Snes version with translation patch instead of the PSX. My question is are the changes really drastic?? Does Epsxe work well with this game? Zsnes on the other hand will be flawless.

your choice??

ePSXe runs the game. I didnt play it all, so I dont know if there are parts in the game which cause s the game to crash or not. Other than that, the PSX version is slighly better than the SNES version, ( better sounds, FMVs, better graphic and magic effects) > I would recommend playing the translated SNES version, but thats only my personal opinion

ive never played the game, but personally, i recommend trying out both first. when i was gonna play FF5, i tried them both out, and playing on PSX was the way to go for me

The SNES version impressed me greatly when I first discovered it's existence and is one of my favourite all-time games.

Some of the best graphics and music available on the SNES. I'd probably favour this version because it's fully 2D.

The Dejap translation is something really special. The time and effort that went into it is immense and must be experienced by a fan.

Don't bother with the GBA version - same as the SNES but with worse music and slightly worse graphics, and it's all in Japanese.

I was amazed about Tales of Phantasia when I played the first time... fighting was in real time and in combat it had sounds, bad thing is that i can't understand Japan and the only two translations I found was either only text or only noise translation...

TOP is a hard game at some points like when your in a cave or a dungeon you go a long way and then get to one of those damn demons you fight underground who will wipe out your entire party with ONE attack!!!

its insane!!!!!! but its a lotta fun i played the dejap on my TV it was AWESOME!!

Right now I'm trying out the PSX. finished the SNES dejap version, so I assume that gameplay and tactics that I used in SNES will work?? Can I use the SNES walkthrough cause the PSX faq at gamefaqs isn't complete. Is there a complete guide of the extra dungeons and treasures new to this game? I can find the old treasures but I don't know where to find the new treasures or were certain treasures may be relocated.
