I am running ePSXe 1.8.0 and have tried a number of different controller configurations. To any who have played Soul Reaver, you know that in order to enter Free-Look mode or to Aim kinetic projectiles from your hands or Wraith Blade you must hold down L2 + R2 (I have also tried L1 + R1.)
However, since I started playing the game a week or so ago on this emulator, I found that it just couldn't be done. Everything else works fine but I cannot aim my projectiles manually. -- This was not a problem until reaching Rahab's lair. This boss fight requires that I manually aim my projectiles to blast out a few windows higher up on the wall so that sunlight enters the chamber.
Without being able to do this, the boss is impassable and I cannot continue the game.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so, did you find a way to fix it? Unforunately, playing the original game on an actual PS1, Dreamcast, or PC is not an option.
