Hello.
1)
I saw that mainboard
EVGA | The Ultimate GPU Motherboard
with chipset nvidia nforce 630i.
here have more information about
Tech ARP - NVIDIA Launches GeForce 7 mGPUs For Intel LGA775 Platform

GeForce 7150 600 MHZ DirectX 9,0-C
"1400 Megapixels/s and a vertex processing speed greater than 263 million vertices per second"
said that it is Geforce 7200 in performance.

run well with PCSX2 0,9,2 and next version ?
anybody see the speed of that igp?

2)
for the creator of the emulator pcsx2
you have access to the code source of the hardware ps2 ?
if not, if you have the hardware code the requirements decrease ? how many times more fast ?

3)
hum,
is true that a new gsdx version will be released with enormous speed in the video render ? will use 16 bits textures or others methods ?

Thanks.
for all that read all above
that your star shines more and more in that world.

1)
That onboard graphics card will do nothing but slow down any CPU its paired up with, onboard graphics cards are a big no no. It will run horrible no matter how powerful the rest of your rig is (If you can even get it to start alot of onboard users have problems) You really need a dedicated graphics card of a 6600 / 7600 or better, and even then you will find your bottlenecked in the more GPU extensive games such as RE4, Smackdown, Tekken, etc.

2)
I dont understand your question, but Im gathering your asking if they will further be optimizing it, they have done as much as they can, no one else in the world has been able to help (it is a open source project) they are trying different methods such as 64bit builds, but the exact increase is unknown at this point.

3)
I dont know where you heard that, but it is false at this moment as far as I know (someone can correct me, ref!) but Gabest (Of Media Player Classic fame), who created it, is no longer working on gsdx9. It has been awhile since his last update.

Welcome to the forums.

1 more question. Same as his 3rd question, but about ZeroGS.
then read emwearz's answer. Any rumors you may have heard are false, the only things that have been done with gsdx9 is it has been updated to work with the newer versions, thats it.

Even if they could get the official development tools, you have to sign an agreement and pay a lot of money to use them.

I'm pretty sure Sony would include a clause saying you couldn't use those tools to reverse-engineer the system for the purpose of simulation, which is what the emulator is aiming to do.

it is a pleasure to talk with wonderful people that are all here.

1) emwearz, I don't consider you bad for have the picture of the game Godfather, all their posts demonstrate that you are a very nice man.
my era was the the classic atari 2600 that here in Brazil did enormous success and earlier arcades machines.
PS2 i played few. SF3 3rd strike, Tekken 5 and Winning Eleven.

2) I was curious with the speed of that emulator. I make a speed test in some systems with the game Resident Evil 4 (that is very demanding in gpu), Saint Seya Hades and others.
In a Laptop Celeron 1,6 GH with 512 MB of RAM and igp ati radeon 200m express saint seya hades run in 15 fps without graphics errors with gsxd pixel shader 2.
I remind that once i make a test in P4 HT 3,0 GH 1 MB L2 FSB 800 with 512 MB DDR400 Windows XP SP2 with Geforce 2 MX 400 using 0,8,1 and GSDX in fixed pipeline run Driver 3 a ittle well for that system. About 35-40 FPS.
In a P4 2,4 1MB L2 FSB533 DDR 266 i make a test with 0,9,2 with two gpus.
Geforce 6200 AGP 128 MB (without graphics errors) and Geforce 2 MX 400 128 MB AGP (much graphics errors).
I wanted to see if it Vista is it faster in 3D with 1GB RAM.
In Windows XP Geforce 2 MX 400 12 FPS with Saint Seya Hades and in Vista 15FPS. Running BIOS startup is the double of the speed that in XP. Many graphic errors with that gpu.
In Windows XP Geforce 6200 run with 25 FPS Ratatouie and in Vista the same speed. BIOS the same speed.
Vista run more fast PCSX2. I believe that just some gpus and other no.
PCSX2 doesn't use more than 512MB of RAM. Systems with 1GB help in VCACHE of Windows or in some system cache utility (Super Speed SuĂte, Super Cache and Super Volume are good utilities for VCACHE of XP try you this) with some emulator of dvd drive.
RS4 and FIFA 2007 is VERY SLOW in those systems. RS4 run 7FPS.

3) I asked if developers of the PCSX2 know the code of the hardware of the ps2 and if don't know is that the reason of the emulator to demand very potent pcs ?
I open PCSX2 0,9,2 with RS4 with gsdx in no render video mode in a P3 1GH and it run super fast. I am not demanding speed for emulator.

Gabest should be one fro list of people that deserve something. MPC is good and if it went full of bugs Gabest deserves something also. He was always a dedicated person.

3) StriderVM. to have or don't access to the code of the hardware of the ps2 doesn't help in the speed ? You like Strider Hyriu game (earlier arcade genesis game) ?

About Welcome to the forums
honesty first time I receive that message from somebody.

Months I read the posts here and I see the education from users and of the moderator.
Wonderful people i saw here.

That God illuminates the roads of all here.
That the star of all shines more and more.
That it doesn't lack money (we are not in that world for that) for you to accomplish their dreams.
And gentile people that sacrifice the life here in the earth to give happiness for others deserves much more than that.
excuse if my english is very difficult to understand or terrible. I am studying english.
Thanks.

Augusto :

Yep, I am a fan of Strider Hiryu. My point that it doesn't it's because they need info of the hardware side instead of the software side. It's because PCSX2 is a low level emulator and not a high level emulator. Very technical to explain.

The main point of emulation is copying the hardware, so that in theory if you have a perfectly copied hardware to software, if you put the games on it, it will work flawlessly.

here all don't want to comment about the experience that I had running pcsx2 in vista ? and about no video render the emulation is super fast ?

Strider in arcade and genesis had a success at that time same the God of War for PS2.
Hey Strider VM. In Strider for Genesis in end he leaves the moon flying until arriving in the earth. madness that.

Running the emu with no graphics rendering is not a useful benchmark, since much of the run-time is spent producing the graphical output. The performance you see while running with no graphical output is NOT indicative of what your system can accomplish with graphics turned on.

The developers don't have access to the original schematics for the PS2, I'm not sure how they would get them and I'm pretty sure it would be illegal to use them for this purpose. They may have created their own by tracing each circuit path, but I can't fathom how long that would take for the entire system.

What they do have is very talented people reverse-engineering the system, once they understand how it works they can start to write code that accomplishes the same task in x86 hardware.
This is by no means easy to accomplish, much less to do it at a speed that allows you to play the game.
