any way to get this up to normal speed? i've been trying to play RPG maker and Fire Pro G but it's way too slow to do anything. any help would be much appreciated

what are your system specs? CPU, amount of RAM, graphics card, OS, etc

cpu i'm not really sure about. same with OS. but my graphics card is GeForce4 MX, and i have 512 MB of RAM at 333MHz
press windows key and the pause/break key. that tells you your CPU and OS.
im guessing you have an Athlon XP, but let's just make sure.
try PEops software GPU, that should run fine for you. if you want to use a hardware plugin like Pete's OGL, then update your drivers.

remember www.ngemu.com/psx has all you need 
you can use Pete's OGL if you want, just make sure your resolution isnt too high (i'd say try 800x600 fullscreen). also, update your drivers.

the screen is a little small, but otherwise perfectly playable. thanks alot dude.
well, you can make it bigger...if it's fullscreen obviously it takes up the full screen.
make sure you press the "nice" preset.
