I'm NO WAY condoning downloading of ISOs or anything of the sort. just want to make that clear!

I'm curious to know if its possible to rip Audio / Music / Sound effects off PS2 game isos with the current software? I was thinking just mounting the iso with daemon tools and use the software would cut it. If theres no way, what software is out there that allows you to rip Audio / Music / Sound effects from a normal PS2 game disk?

the most easiest way i can think of is just scanning the ISO or disk with Cube media player. But the scanning process takes a very long time especially if its not finding anything. You can extract nearly every voice dialogue, fmvs, soundtrack music etc including kingdom hearts (althogh not the FMVs) and drakengard :)

That's called making PS2 rips. Just like with PS1 rips, isnt particularly difficult, but Square-Enix games are a no-no.

Basically, you just replace PSS videos, AFS and the like with near-empty ones. Case by case though.
he want to extract stuff from the iso to his PC.
and it is possible to replace audio and video in square-enix games.
but a little complicated on games with hidden files.

Soo it is possiable? WOOHOO!

so this "Cube media player" can help me extract Audio / Music / SFX off PS2 ISOs / DVDs?
Yep, although if the files are hidden for example Kingdom Hearts it may take say about 15hrs lol (this is because it scans through everybyte of the disc until it finds headers of music files).

You could also hex edit them off if you want to.

Can any other software do it other then Cube media player?
hmm.... no i dont think theres any other player than cube media.

EDIT: wheres Cube media player's website?
I thought that would of been obvious by now. Oh well :rolleyes:

heres a tip.

type cube media player in google ;)

(it should be the first link)

lol

Here's another: No, it's curently not. Results may also vary depending on country of residence.

Looks like it requires a serial number or so. Not freeware I suppose.
Thank you. i tried that and got this
Cubemediaplayer.com
Is that their website? im guessing no right! :nono:
Now ill ask kindly again.
do they have an offical website?

well its actually pretty straight forward.

---> Go to File
---> Click Scan PS2 Disc or PSone Disc

or

---> Go to File
---> Click Scan File
---> Choose the file or iso in this case
---> then choose what type of file you want: ADPCM, PCM, MPEG2, CRX etc
---> then click scan

It might take a while....

Once youve scan and got the files you can preview them in the program.

If you want to export them say to wav. or .mp3 right click the file ---> convert to ---> choose whatever format you want and choose the directory to where it is going to be saved to--->click ok---->select export-----> done

its compatible with over 95% of PS2 games. Although the other 5% are enrypted/Missing PSS or MPEG headers and therefore unable to scan.

For the errors, its natural for you to be recieving errors just wait till the program scans through all the disc. It may take some time though ;)

(i have no idea if its comaptible or not with your game as i dont have it)

Ok sorry it took me soo long to reply i had other projects to do.

i tried dragonball Z budokai 1 and i was looking at the infomation My first error had a ! and said "The loading module could not be found" the next error after that was a ! and said "Loading ASPI driver failed"

The next 50 or so errors (not going to count them so just guesstamating) had a E and said "Mpeg2 flag error"

after the scan was done i tried playing a few and again a E came up and said "Could not play EXPORT ONLY media"

i extracted a file and it came up as this weird .adx file and i dont know if its video or audio!

...now what?

EDIT: i figured out how to play them using winamp (and they are GODLY rips!!!) but now i need a way to convert them to anything except .adx!
