So i was watching TV yesterday and saw a Pro-Active commercial. They show this woman poorly dressed with a few zits on her face and she starts crying and crying. Talking about how horrible her life is because of acne and keeps crying like the world was ending and her family was getting shot one by one right in front of her. Then they show an "after" video after she received a pro active treatment and you see her dancing, smiling, laughing all happy full with joy and life!

After the commercial ended i realized something deep inside of me. No matter how much you think you hate humanity, its always possible to hate it even more. No matter what.

OMG!!

Accompanied my wife to check her eyes and thought that I should use the occasion to check mine too.

Man I'm almost blind on my left eye.

I was really surprised that I couldn't see words clearly from my left eye but images were sharp on my right eye.

This caught me off guard.

Ordered some glasses right away.

One thing I don't get, you've never read anything a bit far away?
When I had weak glasses, I really had to concentrate to see the letters, that's your first clue.

Also, how do you define "almost blind"? I'm at -3.75 on both eyes, with a 0.75 correction for crooked corneas (or wtfever it's called in English). I see stuff clearly when they're ~20cms away, any more and it's getting blurry

A year ago I only had the sight correction, not for the corneas, so when I went to the optician, he suggested that. Had a much better eyesight after that, without any increase in "power".
Was kinda nice. Now I can read stuff for prolonged periods of time without getting a slight headache


RT: I just learned that Opera can stack tabs at the sides of the browser, not just the top.
Opera is awesome indeed.

Unless he has the ability to actually "shut off" the weaker eye, I seriously doubt he'd have missed it.

I'm actually reading this forums from my hdtv, a couple of feet away from the bed.
Using a 1280*720 res.

I can see far with my right eye but with my left is all blurry.

Right now if I cover my right eye the text is blurry.

Maybe I'm a bit over dramatic with the half blind comment, is just I never thought of this.

I dunno about you, but I use both my eyes equally, if one is weaker than the other, any text I read is half garbled. Hence "shutting off" the weaker eye.

I've been reading books and reading A LOT of online articles and never really noticed that.

In my case I tend to notice that generally if close one eye or the other then what I see with the dominant eye is closest to what I see with both.

****ing Soldier of Fortune (DC). I couldn't finish the game when I was younger because I sold my console before I could end it. And it looks like I'll never end it anyways.

I just got a new copy to play on my Dreamcast... but I can't see ****! It is too ****ing dark! Dunno if it is my television but I CAN'T SEE ****. That is pissing me off. I tried tweaking my TV screen but everything looks too much black, can't barely see the train I am riding (second stage).

And I didn't even mention the loading times!
