Whenever I see someone say that they "tolerate" gays, I subconsciously flip them off.

I don't need their love, I don't need their acceptance.

I need them to get the hell out of my way. If you treat a group of people as second class citizens, don't be surprised if they pull the rug out from under you when they get the opportunity. Oppression is motivation.

Tolerance doesn't have to be as passive-agressive as you seem to put it. Like Squall says it means people will neither support, nor go against you, and thus don't really get on your way, which is what you desire.

The problem is that the current form of the word tolerance has been redefined to mean Acceptance.

And it pisses me off because I had to explain a bunch of times why i will never accept religion, and kept getting responses like "Thats so intolerant" or "You should learn to tolerate others"


Then i had to explain that Tolerating means i don't actively go out and burn down their homes, murder their children and kill their dogs - and that it doesn't mean i accept their opinions as inherently valid

Accepting doesn't really have to imply you accept their views, but instead accept they have a different view from you and that can be called tolerance, but we might as well not mix. To be honest I think the people you mentioned overreact, because you aren't explicitely nor implicitely intolerant.

My biggest dream is to see one day a game based on that serie with final fantasy style and not just another crappy fighting game. All adoptions of the series so far sucks.

The only thing I know of Saint Seiya is the gaudy armors. It does look good though, CGI is fine if it's only CGI and not mixed up with normal animation... Although I still like normal animation more, feels more "alive" to me.

Seems like you just watched some bad scenes then. There are few ones now and then but if you watch the serie more you actually realize how hardcore it is in comparison to mickey mouse series the likes of Sailor Moon. Great fights between some of the skillest characters of the zodiac are nothing but a pleasure to watch. Seriously if you actually take more time to watch the series i'm very sure you would never come to the silly idea to even compare it to Sailor Moon

I like normal animations better and since i started to watch the serie it was always like that. However this new CGI style is pretty sick and give a nice touch to the serie.

I honestly think you got that in reverse, i think your the one who should do the watching, Sailor Moon ain't nearly as "Mickey Mouse"-ly as you think, rather the opposite it can jump to a dark and tackle adult themes rather quickly, its only real flaws are the fillers the rest is rather solid. Also i didn't meant it as an insult at all, but rather i was quite serious about, both shows are heavily inspired from the roman/greek mythos, both use flashy getup's and at the core they share more similarities in style and even story than you'd imagine.

Well, one of the bad things about Saint Seiya is that the story is quite repetitive. They do explain why is that way tho. since good and bad are reborn over and over to build a endless battle but i think i get what you mean. What i personally find Mickey Mouse about Sailor Moon are the missing hardcore scenes like the ones you can see in the Saint Seiya series where they basically tear each other apart in almost a blood bath. Will give a proper look at Sailor Moon one of this days and check what you mean. My sister used to watch that serie so maybe i just combined with a girl-anime serie rather than giving a proper check.

Just so you know when i do say Sailor Moon i mean the jap version and jap version alone. Its one of those shows that starts of slowly and only at about halway in shows its actual potential, well there is a sneak peak during the last of the Nephrite saga that the show ain't all just peach and roses, but anyway my point is it takes quite the watch to see what i mean . There's actually a remake in the works, should be released now in 2014, can't wait for it because they originally said that they where going to keep it more faithful to the manga, and the manga can be shockingly dark.

Cool, will keep an eye on it. Saint Seiya is very similar tho. it take quite a bit to see what the serie have to offer and to comprehend why things happened etc.
