Here's a few tidbits my friend,

1. To prolong your monster's lifespan, (depends on the monster) feed your
monster with Magic Banana and Nut's Oil when your monster easily gets
tired after a few drills. The effects of Magic Banana differs on each
monster sometimes it can prolong your monster's lifespan for at least up to
5 years at most.

2. using items called "Kasseitan" and other status enhancement items before
monster tournaments has a "double edge sword" effect, it can increase
your monster's status at the tournament but it will likely shorten the
monster's lifespan so just use it if the tournament you're participating
is a very important one.

3. During the adventure mode , if your monster's lifespan reduced to
30 points , quit the adventure halfway , this way your monster won't
get tremendously tired or worse hospitalized, and if this happens
your monster's loyalty points will drop and also the more your monster
gets hospitalized the more chance it will run away from home or shorten
it's lifespan

4. When combining monsters, the two monsters you should merge
must have at least 4 or 5 years of lifespan and at least Rank A or S
to achieve the best results in merging. For example, Mocchi and Dragon,
if you merge these two monsters you will either get these merging results
1. Mocchi (with higher stats) 2. Dragon (with higher stats)
3. Or a Draco Mocchi which is the combination of the two.

Note: If your Mocchi has higher stats than the Dragon when you merge them,
the higher the chance you will get either Mocchi or Draco Mocchi
in the merge result. Additionally, if the previous Mocchi has numerous
techniques gained during errantry training , the techniques will be then
carried over to the newly merged monster as long as the result is either
Mocchi or Draco Mocchi , the probability of success rate in merging
is if that the main monster has a higher rank and statistics compared
to the sub monster to be merged.

5. And lastly, a few secrets, you can get the legendary "Phoenix" monster
in the Playstation game disc called "Disney's Hercules" , go to the Shrine
and insert that disc. And the Sueki Suezo from the Playstation game disc
"Monster Rancher" (the first installment) or "Monster Farm" (the japanese
version)

Note: the Sueki Suezo has outstanding statistics even coming fresh from the
disc unfortunately, it only has a one week worth of lifespan so you
can only use it for "Free for All Tournament" seasons, or you can use
it as a sub monster to be merged to the monster of your choice
for every merge, it can raise the main monster's statistics for at least
2 to 3 points in every attribute as long as that the main monster is at
least three months old before merging it to the Sueki Suezo and do
not merge it to the mature monster as it will have no effect since
the mature monster has higher rank than the Sueki Suezo.

And a few more monster information and where you will get them

1. Draco Mocchi - Dragon Valor Disc 1
2. Henger with Dragon Mix - Dragon Valor Disc 2
3. Gaboo Soldier - Metal Gear Solid Disc 1
4. Naga - Dino Crisis 2 (I think, not so sure anymore)

You can get more types of monsters from discs as your trainer rank rises

Hope this information helps, have fun:)
