The sprite won't get blockier, it will just appear that way in comparison to the rest of the screen. It's the same sprite, and will look the same in any rez.
Thanks lord kane. You almost quoted what i wanted to say.
Thats exactly what i was thinking.

Bobby,
Thanks for the sstate. I will try to see about it soon.

Then how do explain it not changing size? Generaly the larger the resolutoin the smaller the objects and everything else get. But in an emulated game they dont change size. This is in fullscreen of coarse.

You know i think this may be a gpu bug because although it happens with all of pete's plugins, it may be something witch hasn't been discovered yet by gpu authors like pete simply because they may not own the game to test it and tr2 is the only game im aware of that produces that graphical error?

It also happens on lewpys glide pluggin as well.. I think it's a GTE bug.. or a main emu bug..

In reference to getting PC versions of games already bought on the psx.. Why buy the same game twice? If you already have it on psx and can play it on epsxe via emulation, why buy it again for the same game with a little better graphics?

IMO, TR games run fine and look just as good(with the proper settings) as their PC counterparts running on epsxe.. Except that underwater bug, but that's sure to get fixed in the near future..

I have played the PC versions of Tomb raider games and there isn't that much of a reason to buy the same game twice.. If you already have the psx versions, play them on epsxe.. If not then try the pc versions.. Simple as that..

PSX has the bad habit of making polygons "shake" and move unexpectedly. I think you should play the latest versions on PC because then you will see the difference.

If there is ever a game that comes out on both playstation and pc you will get the pc version because of the much higher resolutions you can achieve and of caorse better frame rates and picture quality. Another thing the pictures you have taken may be at 800x600 resolution but the actual game is still running at 320x240 res. This is the playstations maximum resolution for most games. It is only able to reach higher resolutions for still pictures.

If i took a pic of a PC version you will instantly be able to see the difference. The playstation is renown for cracks between polygons. And i am certain that you will never be able to get rid of all the jagged edges in the emulated version even with FSAx4 turned on.
Dude, have you played FF7 on the pc?
That is an atrociously buggy and well dodgy port.

And anyway, it looks just as good under ePSXe with all the eye candy options enabled.

BOB

FF7 is different it was made for Playstation. It came out a lot later for the PC. It was only a quick port to get some quick cash. I agree its not worth buying the same game for two different machines but i would have bought the PC version in the first place because of its better visual quality and increased performance.

Tomb Raider was originally a hit for the psx remember-it was ported to the pc a good few months after its psx release!
I Do agree that the pc version looks better (tomb raider 1 with the glidos patch that is) but only because of the moving textures and that under water bug-besides you get used to the moving textures soon enough and save states rule ;)
