I'm having a single trouble running FFX. It's running at an average of 20 fps. I tried enabling MTGS and Dual Core mode, and effectively I got a significant speed boost, I think until 60 fps. But once the openning is finished, the emulator crashes and closes itself. It sends me a message saying "the emulator stoped working and it will close", or something similar. It happens only when I enable MTGS. Can anybody help? Is my CPU processor too weak?
What can I do?

My specs are
Laptop Dell Inspiron 1520
Windows Vista Home Basic (Home Basic, damn it)
Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8 GHz per core
2 Gb RAM DDR2
Nvidia GeForce GT 8600 256 Mb
160 Gb SATA HD
Using ZeroGS v0.96.0 plugin
EFP Polling CDVD v0.4.0 plugin (I'm running FFX directly from my DVD drive)
I'm running the TLB version

By the way, if someone could explain me what the difference between the TLB and VM versions is, I would appreciate it, because I don't understand it well.

I have tried both builts (the VM and the TLB), and I got similar results with Final Fantasy X. And now that I tried Resident Evil 4, also in VM built, it makes no significant speed boost even with MTGS and Dual Core mode enabled, and the movies are bad: they stop running at a short time while fps displays an average of 180 (what the heck...), nevertheless the emulator doesn't crash. And when play time comes, it runs at a maximum of 20 fps. It's not fair! Can anybody help? Is my processor to weak or should I use DVD images rather than running them directly from the drive? Maybe I should add that I'm using DVD copies of the original games...
And I have also tried what RPGWizard previously suggested: switching between window mode and full screen more than once. And the drivers you also posted didn't work for me. It said "the installation program couldn't find the appropriate hardware for this software". I think that driver was not for my graphics card.
Anyway, thank you RPGWizard just for posting the VM vs TLB link.

there isn't a big difference between TLB and VM.
but for Kingdom hearts is TLB faster!

you can try to install windows XP as second os with the dualcore hotfix (KB896256)

And you can also try to disable some CPU energy save options in the bios.

Thats all you can do, sorry.
