Hi All

This is a utility I made a while back to view the graphics stored in one of the emulator save states. It enables one to see the graphic primitives (ie textures and sprites) but not the actual 3D models so it's only really useful for 2D games or looking for specific textures. It's not intuitive so you'll need read the instructions and play around with different palettes. Needs the Zlib library (included) to open the save states so make sure you unzip all the files to the same directory. Hope someone finds this useful.

Thanks
Z

Odd, I've tested it on various computers and operating systems (98, 2000, XP SP1 and SP2) and haven't come accross it before, could be the 64-bit version. Was very slow on SP2 so I'll take a look there. Could be the code that checks the current desktop resolution (untested) so you could try changing to 1024x768 or 1280x1024 and see if that works. May do a complete re-write to speed it up but that will take some time.

since no one has posted about having any further success with it aside from shendo and its been more than a year now since the thread starter has made any subsequent replies either, i doubt you are going to have much luck and i really would not bother with it at this point.

crap >.< well any ideas yourself? lol
if you look at one of my posts in the pcsx forum im trying to get the graphics out so that i can try and make a flash game from ff9 (i kinda started but the whole take a pic and use it as a 2d back ground is really hard) i mean i sit there get the image
then set up no entry boundries so that the sprites cant go in
then i have to set it so that sprites can go up a stairs and it edits its xyz coords and then loads the next image for the sprit to go up while also scaling size for distance
then theres the fact that making the sprite IS A PAIN @_@)
lol so any ideas or points toos xD

that sort of thing is beyond my knowledge, its not really something ive ever tried to learn how to do, so unfortunately i cant throw out any advice or things to try. good luck with whatever it is you are doing though.

try PMing shendo about it, he is still active here, i saw him online earlier today actually, and since he said that he got it working under vista maybe he can help you do the same.
