The main problem faced by most students is distraction. This can be caused by several others elements, i.e. love problem, money problem, friendship problem, social problem. Everyone would already know most of it, but one thing that I'd like to focus about is a problem called 'lack of confidence'.

 

my lack of interest. i simply don´t feel attracted by nothing. i have a test and work to do now, i´ll be in my university in like 3 hours and still didn´t do anything...

well,..in my case,....i just stay in the university like a dumb fool doin' nothing............ and i cant cook well either , so thats another problem

Depends on the course I suppose, for me time was a major issue last year, (I managed by eliminating that unnessesary sleep thing). Also finances can be a problem.

Oh and don't forget about the bloody dishes! In the case of my pad it seems they always stayed in the sink rather than the cupboard (The situation got so bad once that Philly used a saucer to eat his cornflakes on!) :rofl:

The only things which troubles me during studies is of course VIDEOGAMES.

 

hehe my biggest problem is this site right here. Just like now I have a 3hour break in between 2 classes and instead of studying, i open my computer and check whats new at NGEmu. (cool news btw today, pete is awesome) well aniway thats all i have to say

 

Love is evil it disturb your studies, some people these days just focus on study and let the love for a secondary things, well i don't

 

The problem is I spend classes waiting for the exit, to go meet that girl...

 

Hmmm... should i play video games or do my homework... video games

 

Message Boards. They are more detrimental to my grades than anything. (Although I think I have it under control now).

Food. It's way too hard to get food without paying someone else to cook it for you.

Sleep. It's very hard to sleep and get your homework done at the same time.

Money. It takes forever to walk to school when you don't have a car.

Yesterday though, I programmed for 10 hours straight. I didn't get much accomplished, but I did learn a great deal about memory management, and a bit of Direct3D stuff. I guess I can get away from message boards and get soem work done now and then.

 

Peer Pressure (Which leads to sex, drugs, alcohol and tobacco use, etc.)
Tests and workloads
Part time job
Financial resource
Overall image as a student

 

ever since Colibine, one slip up to kill someone will land you in suspension for a couple of days. I got the worst of it, and police investigation and a file in the police station

 

i think its the teachers... for example if a teacher just lectures everyday and gives homework i dunt think that helps... they have to have the students involved in activity...

 

I threatened someone recently nearly got me in trouble... the guy told me to shut up then a few people asked if I smoke or something and hadnt had one in a while cause I was acting all flustered about something ... I smoke long time ago and not that much either (about a year its been and I got my rage out...) Anyways its been this one kid bothering me... I have some old hentai pix on here cause I was a perv at one time (I should really delete those) anyways he goes around and tells everyone that I jack to cartoon porn... he attempts to diss me for being a badass at DDR also but not many find this very humorous if they see my moves... Anyways that, lack of sex, and my grandmother (search around a bit I think I made 3 long big paragraphs on why I hate her soo much on this boards somewhere) I am a Junior in high school my first 3 weeks into it and I am averaging 55's I passed one class and thats computer management... (I should have an A in that but I barely have a D)

Me? problems with a girl? ha ha ha ha thats got to be the funniest thing i have red in my life! Nope no probs. I keep of girls and they keep of me (sometimes) and well my real prob is my friends there scared of everyone including the years below ours! So i quit them all (there was only 3 any ways) My real prob is study now. Ever since i quit my friends it has been studying for the most part of my life and visiting this forum you people are better than my real friends So from being a really low graded student i have shot up to second in my science class! maths has always been easy english is fun but I cant seem to be able to keep up with it all

I don't have any lack of confidence. Thanx to my dad! but I do have social problems i.e I'v had a row/fight with everyone in my age group girls well a couple REALLY ANOY ME! with weird girly questions such as will you go out on a date with me infront of the whole class my response: "Get a life!"

 

When in highschool it was a lack of challenge for me. School can be very boring when you excel over your classmates .. I think at times it caused me to do worse then I could have done if i was actually interested in trying.
{FYI - Highschool for me was 8 years ago.)

Now that I think of it .. I think I might have a problem with motivation when it comes to simple things which cause me to be lazy

 

Well one of the problems i had when i was in uni was that i was so bored i was absent more than half the semesters. I think 3 out of the 5 years i spent in college were spent getting wasted, playing games, drinking, going out and getting totally out of it. :heh:

 

It seems like most of you guys are pretty focused and know what you're gonna do with your life - alot of programmers, comp sci guys, etc. I thought the hardest thing for me though was to find something I don't HATE with all my heart and that I can envision doing for the rest of my life. Even now with a major, I still have no idea what I'm gonna do, plus I have lots of the other problems. No motivation, no money, no food, etc. Plus I have the problem of a long distance relationship cause my girlfriend is studying abroad right now... dammit

 

i can't do things right i'm not interested in. that's just how it is. i hate school, and school hates me.
