I have a.......

128 MB SDRAM
8MB SiS 6326 video card

Please awnser as fast as possible........

Well that machine is a little slow, but you could give it a go with E}I{'s soft plugin.

Well use PEOPs SPU, and enable the top 3 checkboxes in hte emu

Thanks, I'll try them out as soon as possible.......
Also one more question.......Whenever I choose an option in the menu, a pop-up comes saying "Thunk Connecting Failed (32->16)" What does it mean?

I'm afraid as my celeron is still outta action, I can't really help out on configuring slower machines..... Or it may simply be that E}I{'s plugin shows the actual PSX refresh rate...

Pete's D3D 6 plugin is worth a shot, but hte SiS based soloutions really aren't tht hot.

Hm. It should have 60 FPS in most games except hi-res ones on your system. can you post settings and tell me which game you actually want to play?
BTW of all GPU plugins i tried only Kazzia's plugin shows actual PSX refresh rate. (60/30/25/15 etc.)

I was trying FF5 and Legend of Dragoon........I play both games on VGS and they work perfectly at 60 fps just that they seem to have a bit of glitches on VGS........
I usually use the default settings on E}I{'s plugin and then change some of the settings........Usually I have problems like 320x460 screen size or sound problems or slow frame rate.......When I fix one of them another problem usually pops out........

I'll try the plugins you guys suggested..........

I tried Pete's D3D plugin but it poses the same problems.......

I tried Kazzuya........the frame rate is much better between 40-50 fps.....could you say some configs which would make it faster.....I tried lots but th fps doesn't increase over that limit.......

And any better plugins???????

Hm. I think framebuffer sync messed it all up... And your gfx card is very slow... Never mind :) You'll hardly be able to make Kazzia's plugin faster, try also Knack's one. It is very fast in certain cases, too bad it is old an incomplete.

Knack is GOOD!!! I started FF5 and the beginning movie works at a solid 60 fps but then the problem starts........When I go to 'New Game', it reads my memcard and then it gives an error. Here it is :-

I know you said Knack is an old and incomplete but do you know how to fix that problem? Please.......Knack is my only way out of this mess......:p

If I recall properly, it have savestate support and theoretically you'll be able to load state after place that caused bug to appear. Too bad plugin will probably crash at loadstate attempt.
> Please.......Knack is my only way out of this mess......
It is possible to dissassemble plugin and (more or less) quickly fix some problems here an there, but I hardly have a time to do that :(
Now can only think about making my portable GB emu faster without using asm :)

BTW you shouldn't compare plugin speeds at MDEC playback. In-game performance is much more valuable and it can be very different from speed of MDEC playback.
