As an update, switching the B3D theme back to the older theme works fine without any lag.

Interesting to know that Google chrome has extensions Maybe it'll soon replace Firefox on my computer.

In any case, finally figured out what was triggering the slowdown on forum.beyond3d.com . I uninstalled and reinstalled completely and found out that it was because I had zoomed out. Oddly enough, resetting the zoom level on that forum fixed the lag issue...and the problem can be replicated by zooming and unzooming. I tried the same on ngemu and it was fine. Maybe someone on Firefox 3.1B3 can try it out to see if they have the same issue.

Zoom lag is caused by large images (a table background for instance) being resized dynamically.
