u can save in no$gba but only need to get the right save type which i say is problematic in ff3. Why u ask, because if u save a game and reset u can load that saved file but when u switch of emu then play the game again the save file is gone. Tried with 8kb 64kb and FRAM 32 nothing works ,maybe someone has made it work, if so how?

I did'nt want to make a new thread for this.

I was wondering how I would go about saving/loading in Pokemon Diamond? I know how to save in-game, but I can't seem to load, or find the save file. Would anyone be able to help? Thanks.

Actually, saves are working for me.
In diamond I have Flash 512 and when I want to save i choose 16.78 mhzrealtime, auto emulation speed but before loading my save for example after I closed emulator-I choose unlimited mhz disaster 10% and vio la! Save in game works!!(not that strange snaphot or something :p )

In FF3 I have Eeprom 64 and for now I only tried that quicksave in game and it works! I can continue my game(all the time I have for FF3- 16.78 mhzrealtime, auto emulation speed)

Sorry for my English but I hope this post can help sopmebody

regards

Save
Credit goes to Dirtie:

For those of you having problems with save errors and whatnot - I find EEPROM 64KByte works with most games, it's only the odd one that I have to change. So set your save type to that, save your settings, and if you ever come across a game it doesn't work for, try a different save type and reset.

Yeah, it is EEPROM 64 bytes. That's strange because mine is fine.

That doesn't work at all for Diamond...

It is possible to load saved game in pokemon diamond

I will write everything about my method here.
In emu folder I have two bioses(biosnds7.ROM-16kB & biosnds9.ROM- 4 kB) I don' t know what is firmware and I think it is not important but I changed name of file that no$gba "produced"(from NO$GBA.INP to firmware.bin) I know it is stupid but I'm writting everything as I said before :p

Now- run no$gba and choose enscrypted pokemon diamond game. Go to Options->emulation setup, choose 128K macronix in GBA cartridge backup media and flash 512 Kbytes in NDS cartridge backup media. Now make sure you have 16.78 realtime auto emulation speed checked, digital stereo in sound output mode and high 44hz sound sample rate.

It is important now to go to options and save options

Play game and save in game from game menu. Exit emulator. Run emulator and choose pokemon diamond game. Just after first letters in game shows- go to options->emulation options and choose in emulation speed, LCD refresh Unlimited MHZ disaster 10 %.
Now you can load your in game save.

That is all. I hope it will work for you like it works for me.

LOL... this is really STUPID... :rotflmao:

Save
ok i admit it I went through all the steps and it worked.....but you don't need to do all that....

just make a dummy firmware.bin file from another file (NO$GBA.INP or GBABIOS.Rom) and it will work if you change the setting to "Start Cartridge Directly" speed isnt important....and 256kb NDS save

this is really strange..... nice find though Grzeslav

It does work, kinda for me. I can save, then when i play i can go to the screen where you choose your save file/new game/wifi but when i try to load the screen goes black, help guys?

? it's either 256 or 512, but I think you only get to save once you have completed the first case...at least that's the first time I was told how to save by the game and it worked...
