Double click on the time on your taskbar (in XP) it will bring up the world date and bla bla. Click on the "internet time" tab and uncheck the checkbox.

slimshady is not using XP. It's probably a hardware problem other than the battery. Like I said, my P133 has the same problem. Who the hell knows. It's quite annoying wondering what could be wrong with it.

It is the weirdest thing isn't it? That reminds me, my first computer was a Cyrix 120Mhz in an Intel Socket7 board and I had the same problem with the time. I was using Windows 98 and I'm sure it has nothing to do with the OS. I'm thinking it is the BIOS.

weird that's it. Yes socket 7, SIMMs and ISA bus.
The OS can't be, when my PI @ 133MHz was the fastest computer in its time(long ago) it doesn't had that problem, so I don't think the BIOS got degraded itself, maybe something else

try replacing your battery, its very possible that the new battery that you installed might be an old one check with a vom to be sure its around 3.0v, use an analog voltmeter cause digital voltmeter has a very high resistance causing the meter to register a much higher reading cause of less loading.some of the mobo has a test point that enables you to check the battery voltage while connected to the mobo, chk your manual if you dont know how to use a vom just ask somebody who does.

you did say you had a p1 133? well if so its an old comp. I too had a clock problem. a few weeks later the batery died and i had to go get a new one. maybe your battery is dying try replacing it.

We have already determined that it is not the battery that is causing the problem.
