The best ways to get anime are IRC and Direct Connect. I prefer the second one, but you need to have some anime to share before using it.

I finally settled on Hotline.

It seems to be the most harmless file sharing program out there. (I hope.)

The interface is a little chunky so it will take me a while to figure out how it works.

Depends on the hub. They usually require from 500MB to 2GB shared.

IRC people are the worse kind on earth...
Example: if you asked that same question on ANY irc channel you would be:
1--> Kicked
2--> Banned
3--> Nuked
4--> (...) and many more......
You remind me of those stupid peolple that don't have any anti-virus and think that those kind of probs only happens to other people...

As for direct connect... that's right..you have to share some MBs...unless you have some friends in high places...
BTW any of you ever used or worked with FXP boards...they also have quite a selection....

well, you can exchange that with questions like "where do i download anime" "can you send me anime", however, i dont think its very sad that those people tend to disappear very fast
i have NEVER heard about a channel NUKING people though, i can only imagine that you acted even worse then i just said
if you manage to stay normal you will be helped, you will get personal access to the fastest ftps sooner or later filled with all the stuff you want and besides you will have lots of fun!
if you manage not to progress at all then youre not the kind of person who would talk with people anyway and those P2P programs suit you better...
btw, IRC can't be slow, only the person you are getting from

Carmofin: I don't know, I'd probably ban someone for asking that (how to use IRC) on IRC. However, that would most likely only happen after a situation you described (repeatedly saying stupid things).

The use of Spyware in file-sharing programs is pretty well known now. I recommend running AD-Aware after installing any program to make sure you're clean.

Well I finally got some success and got some anime Divx like Gate Keepers.

Though one quibble I have is the opening squence is cut from the epsiodes.

Some groups cut the op and even the ending out. Sometimes another group has done it, sometimes not at all. If the one you're talking about is Gatekeepers, you won't have much luck finding other versions.

I am so frustrated!

I finally figured out how to use mIRC and log into some of the Divx files.

Guess what? The queues are so long! More waiting!

I was number 33 for one queue.

It's like waiting in line for an amusement ride at Disney World.

I won't be able to get anything at the rate this is going. :help:
