kt2 combo with athlon xp 2200 and GF4 problem

when i use d3d apps the system hangs
i found out how to fix it by disabling the side band addressing using riva tuner but when i boot to win9x it shows the same problem but i cant disable sba becoz riva tuner doesnt display this option in this os
so is there a way to fix it
coz i tried a utiliy it says my mobo supports it and my gfx support it too
so whuts the problem???

Disable side band addressing on your Bios.
There should be a option somewhere.

i can disable it or enable it but it doesnt affect anything

Take a look at this screen.
You should install this NVstrap driver thingy.
Try it and report later....
