I started playing Kingdom Hearts, one game that is totally playable but for me...
It start well, but then...

Well here are my specs:
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.00 GHz 3.00 GHz, 512 RAM
CONNECT 3D Radeon 9550
Windows XP Pro

I'm thinking in upgrading my PC, in what should I?

PS: If i miss something just let me know.

It's probably the gfx card causing the gfx glitches as if I'm not misstaken this is due to some lack of support for a feature ZeroGS plugin uses and this applies to Radeon 9500 - 9700 series cards (possibly 9800 too, can't say). I know several others who have reported similiar glitches with those cards but I can't say if it was ever fixed or if simply updating the gfx driver to the latest supported driver fixed the prob. Some1 else can confirm if they know.

Anyways you will need a complete upgrade if you want enjoyable speeds on PCSX2. An Intel Core 2 Duo dual core CPU is currently advised for good results, as for gfx card an Nvidia 7600GT or Radeon X1650XT/Pro for example does a decent job and doesn't cost too much (100-125 EUR / 100-135 USD) or you can aim for the future if you also like to play new PC games and get a 8800GTS 320MB card for 270 EUR / 300 USD.

Can someone confirm what rpgwizard said?
Can't you just check the console window and see what it says? :) It says there if it fails to recognise the features required.

I wouldn't doubt a single sentence. I'd given you the same advice... Enable console if it isn't, post ur shot or... try to get a later model Ati or Nvidia card.

Your computer is probably the older pentium 4 with hyper threading.

It will get you only 15-25fps I'm thinking
Well... yeah :heh: Should i buy a new one?

EDIT: But there is anything i can do so that glich don't appear? I can live with 15-25fps but not with that glich(see 1st post)

Well, i finaly manage to "get" some error. Here they are:

Maybe is that pixel shader that i need...

if you get a new PC a Core Duo proc or a Athlon X2 socket AM2 would probably be best. also for graphics i'd say a geforce7800gt or higher would be good. something that puts out DX9 graphics at a really high rate.

I can, its a hardware issue that cant be resolved, I myself use to have a 9600, its only in a few games that you get the blackened textures, but there are a variety of other problems with the cards (I remember in some games the HUD wouldn't show up or it would with big black boarders.) Updating drivers and what not doesn't work, I remembered quite a long time ago asking zero if it would be possible to fix he didn't seem to think so.

And to quote the FAQ (which people seem to skip before asking common questions).

Minimal Specs:
AMD XP/64 or Intel Pentium 4 (VM Built will not work with non SSE2 CPU's)
512MB of RAM
Pixel Shader 1.4 supporting card (GSdx Graphics Plugin Only)

Recommended Specs: (For reasonable preformance in many games, but not all)
AMD64 X2 or Intel Conroe E6600+ (Multi Threading is supported in PCSX2)
512-1024MB of RAM (more RAM allows for VM mode to be stable)
Pixel Shader 2.0 supporting card (recommended GeForce 6600-8800 or equivilent ATi card)
