This is such a good quote tho:
Someone go down to Hell, they'll probably need their heating system checked.
Well at least all the crap can be centralised now, rather than spreading like a virus over the 'net.

gamefaqs isn't ign, its cnet... or are they the same? i have no idea.

as for ign, i always thought they were merged with gamespy anyways. they're both the devil, so it doesn't make much difference.

I always perfered GameSpy over IGN, but couldnt give a flying flick about either. They are both products of capitalist marketing schemes.

well, either way, gamefaqs does have links to gamespy, cnet and zdnet, so who knows... as long as they dont make it 'pay to see walkthroughs' it doesn't really matter, i guess. oh, and ads don't start popping up.

actually, i don't even think they could make us pay. the owners of the faqs wouldn't be getting any money, and we've all read their legal mumbo jumbo they throw at the beginning. ;)
just a thought though, on the never ending retardism that is gamespy.

well GameFAQs has been good for years, i think it will for a long time. it has side ads, and yeah it's affiliated with Gamespot...but the core of it is fine. it has a fast server and no popups, and no signing up required :D

its not those ads that are annoying. its the ones that will come up before the page you actually want to view and it has one of those 'click here to reach your real destination and not this crap ad you'll quickly NOT view' buttons.

not to mention they don't work. unless you've got a really high speed connection and there's no loading time, you'll never see them. when it comes to me, i'm looking for the 'skip' button right off the bat. they don't usually even have time to load. but i guess the advertisers don't care, since i'm sure 1 out of 50 people will view it... by accident.
