Hello everyone:)
I recently tried to install a PS2 emulator on my PC because I'm quite new to the field of emulation. I am hoping that some of the more seasoned participants here can assist me in troubleshooting the problems I am having.

System software: Windows 10
Intel Core i7-9700K processor
Visuals NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 card
16GB DDR4 RAM
PCSX2 v1.6.0 is the emulator.

  • Games like Final Fantasy X and Shadow of the Colossus are causing me a lot of lag and a speech disorder. The games are almost unusable because of the frequent reductions in frame rate.
  • I have tried employing speed hacks and changing the graphical settings, but nothing appears to offer a seamless experience. The gameplay is not in rhythm with the choppy music. It's especially apparent during fast-paced action scenes and cutscenes.
  • I have tried a few different audio plugins, but the problem still exists.
  • I am having problems getting my wired Xbox One controller to function properly with the emulator, even if I'm using one. There are inconsistencies in the button mapping, and occasionally there is no input at all.
  • I have tried to set up the controller settings in PCSX2; but I am having trouble.
  • I have experimented with switching between the hardware renderers, Direct3D11 and OpenGL, varying the resolution scaling, and turning on and off several speed hacks.
  • I have experimented with several SPU2 X settings; such as adjusting latency and synchronization parameters.
  • For greater compatibility, I've manually mapped the buttons and attempted to use the Lilypad plugin.
  • I am still having problems with these things in spite of my efforts. I want to know whether there's something I'm not seeing or if there are certain configuration options that are more effective for my system.
  • Are there any recommended system requirements settings that I should know about to enhance my gaming experience and audio synchronization?
  • Which controller plugin on PCSX2 is ideal for use with an Xbox One controller?
  • Exist any general troubleshooting guidelines or recommended procedures for PCSX2 optimization?

Also I explored some topics related to this https://www.ngemu.com/threads/ps1-ps2-emulator-to-ps3-psp-ps-vita-and-vice-versa-save-genaitraining-conversion-service.146727/?post_id=2020862&nested_view=1&sortby=oldest#post-2020862 but I did not get the sufficient solution of my query so I would really want to get some help from a more experienced person.

It would be really beneficial if you could offer any more advice or personal experiences. I can not wait to make a difference in this educational community and participate

I would be grateful for any advice and direction you could give. I am excited to experience the fond memories these games provide and have them operating smoothly.

Thanks in advance for your efforts🤝🥰

PCSX2 v2.0 is the latest release that streamlines the initial setup process and walks you through each function so you can configure the emu according to your preferences and it's very simple and straightforward to follow. I would highly implore that you utilize the current version instead which will help mitigate any of the minutiae that is presenting you w/ much difficulty
Here is an article that illustrates a lot of the changes that have been implemented into PCSX2's new release: PS2 Emulation Just Took A Massive Step Forward Thanks To PCSX2 2.0

However, what you forgot to mention was that "NetherSX2" is only restricted to the Android platform.
