Well, how do ya? Is it by changing the settings under the BIOS or by the jumper settings on the m/board? With my spec below, am I able to overclock ti to say, 1.2 GHz? But of course, extra cooler would be needed right?

Thanks for your help ppl!

Cellys can only do FSB OC, iirc.

yes shiori is right, it has a locked multiplier, if it didnt , lets say your fsb is 100, and the multiplier is at 10.0, if u set the fsb to 133 and the multiplier to 15.0, then you'd go from 1ghz to 1.9 ghz! even though i dont think it will ever go that high in real life! ;)

If your board uses soft jumpers there should be an option in the BIOS to modify the front side bus speed. Celerons run at 100 Mhz FSB so overclocking that to 133 would make your CPU run at 1.33 Ghz. Your memory must also be able to run at 133 Mhz (unless it's asynchronous memory) and you will probably have to raise the voltage a bit as well. I don't know if your particular Celeron can go that high though. Coppermines max out at around the 1 Ghz mark so unless you have a Tualatin-based one you probably get too far. I suggest you take it 1 Mhz at a time and find your maximum threshold.
