This game looks amazing!
I heard that Halo used about 50% of the Xbox available resources in terms of graphics, and that Halo 2 is estimated to use about 90%.
I'm sure it will look very nice in action. Hope it doesn't cause frame drops though.

I went to buy a GC and Res Evil and ended up opting for a Xbox and Halo. Halo is 1 of the finest console games I have played and if Halo 2 is better playing and better looking (which it looks lke it is) then WOOT :) Im getting it.

Hmmmmmmm Halo was quite good on Xbox, although it suffered from big drops of frame rate and the driving wasn't so good after all.......Resident Evil???For GC?????HAHAHAHAHAHA :D :D :D .I've seen it in action and yes,it has good graphics BUT it has a veeeeeery low frame rate,is that what we,as gamers, want???Nice graphics with low frame rate???No thnx a lot,i prefer playing GT3 on PS2 or UT2K3 on PC ;)

These shots may look great, but they're not in game shots. Throw in 10 enemies, environments, and AI and I dare you to say Halo2 will look as good. This is just prerendered movie using realtime graphics. Sorta like FFX intro but the game won't look as good as that consistently. It's real time shots alright, but it's not actually real time if you know what I mean. Any system can probably do these shots if it was prerendered. PS2 can render FF8 CG during it's tech demo.

Actually the game should look like that. Or at least close to it. Remember its all in the bump-mapping. The master chief in those images uses less polygons than the first master chief. It looks great because of the new engine's lighting effects and bump-mapping/vertex shading techniques.
