hi there :)
first of all Marry Xmas to all :innocent: :guitar:  :thumb:
now let's go to business:
i have asus ( V9520/TD) GeForce FX5200 (non ultra).
Core Clock - 250
Memory Clock - 405
so, how far can i OC it and how safe is it to OC that crapy card?

and one more question: if i overclock it will this card work for long or it'll burn in 10-12 months? :???:

you are better off buying a new card. if you OC that card you wont notice any difference except a small one in bench marking like op3n_skill said, and thats pretty worthless too IMO

Run as fast as you can to the place you got it (with it and the receipt), return it for cash, and look on eBay for a GF4 4600. Mine just came and omg, it stomps the fx5200's dick in the dirt. I was running GTA3 at 1024x724 at 16bits with some heavy slowdown during hardcore playing (Driving the Banshee like no other with three stars in the city). I took it back and got my 4600 on eBay for $103 after s/h from nvidia (some charity thing), the 5200 cost me $108 after tax. To test my new card I played GTA3 at 1600x1200 at 32 bits (highest it will go) expecting slowdown. Not one. I TRYED (Driving through the city in a tank, firing be hide me for speed, with the FBI and EVERY car I saw on the screen on my hood), could not get it to skip. Do this man, you won't regret it.

Like others have said, you would be much better off just buying a new card. Overclocking wont do it any good, especially if its one of those with just a heatsink and no fan on it.

Yeah I did forget to mention that. Take that POS back asap
BTW I can run GTA: VC with 1600X1200 32 bit 2X AA on this rig, but I would recommend you get a newer video card than mine, as my Ti4200 is getting rather old and outdated. I have been looking at both ATi's and nVidia's new cards, and I am kinda unsure which to choose. I would go ATi, but their
horrible OpenGl support (Quake 3 games like Jedi Academy) makes me think about Nvidia. The Geforce FX 5700 Ultra looks good on the paper and in benchmarks, with a price that will eat your wallet but not quite break the bank at about $224, and it is the one I really am considering to upgrade to.
