I'm having a problem when i deliver the key in the city of Aitients (if its that its called), the screen gets black when I'm gooing into the waterfall thing and it flashes a image and it goes black again ... Can some1 help me with this didnt find any other posts about this ...

did you download this game by any chance? This is a problem that is often seen and it's associated with the crapass version floating around the internet.

Don't use savestates (in case you are using them), use the game save (from memorycard).

when the same problem happens several times, you kind of catch on. I've passed this part three times using someone else's memory cards, and i've seen it happen various other times (maybe five others? ten max). Most of the time (not every single time) it turns out to be a downloaded game. I have a feeling that it might be one particular pressing or something, and that's the one that happened to have gotten out onto the internet.

anyway farasy, i'll trust you on this one...make sure you read the sticky at the top of the forum you posted in because there are a lot of general trouleshooting tips that could help you like using different plugins, emulators, and a bunch of other stuff.

I tried using gamesave (from the memory card), but still, there is no response. I have used 3 kinds of disc 2 already, it was actually an fmv or a movie kind effect showing Cloud at the top of a "tree" where the Shinras consider as The Promised Land, and it suddenly stopped responding, like it freezes everytime I tried to go to that part. Please help me.

Yeah I used savestates ... always used it since its easier with that.

farasy, or anyone in fact, what plugin did you use to fix this? I'm having the exact same problem and can't find a way to get past this. I tried using different emus ,plugins ect.

Use Pete's OpenGL 1.76 video plugin, if that doesn't work use pSX.

Pete's plugin came with more than one plugin. which should I use?

You probably have D3D, DX6 and OGL, use the OGL one.

I tried the plugin before. It didnt fix the problem last time or this time. And I've tried the psx emu and it doesn't work on ym comp. You need to be admin for it to work.

I know this may seem selfish but I would be eternally grateful if I could give someone my game file and just get pass this and send me the file back when they're done. I'll find out what happens during the cinema via gamefaqs. This is the PAL version of the game. Can anyone help me out? please?
