So I've read a lot of stuff online over the past day but I can't seem to make FF9 work... very frustrated right now!!

I'm using ePSXe 1.6, with Pete's GPU plugin and PEOP. Also have four different patches and correct specific ppf file.

Black screen after cheat menu (which I skip past) - nothing...

Have managed to run the game once after it took ages, but it was really fast so I turned the fps limiter on and made the limit 60 fps.

I really don't know where to go from here. Pleeeeeeassseeee help!!

Like I said, I've already read all the guides.

Anyway, I left it to load and went out and came back 45 mins later and it was going... plays fine, if a little shakey when in battles and no swirl entering battles, but I can live with that.

But does it really take over 15 minutes to load the game (this is with both 1.52 and 1.6)? Or is there some setting I should change? I've read all I can find and nothing...

Perhaps I need to be more specific.

It says the gpu and patch is fine in the bios. It gets to the first screen where there are cheats. Press x to get past it, then it just hangs for ages, if it even works.

I'm not exactly clued up on how this all works, but like I said I've read a lot of stuff, searched the net for hours etc. and nothing can address this problem. I've searched this forum and others... nothing seems to work. I'm running from an ISO file. I can't mount the cue in Daemon tool (version 4.11) as it says "Unable to mount image. File not accessible" to run it as a virtual cd-rom.

My system is an old Dell p4, 2ghz cpu, ati raedeon 7500 gc with 1gb RAM.

Any other specs or anything I need to inform about please let me know.

I really want to play this game, and I've got it to work once in 30+ attempts.

does it do this when being run from the cd?

are you saying you made an image from the cd when it was in your possession but no longer have the cd or are you saying you downloaded the image you are using? if you have downloaded it i would almost certainly say that would be why you are having problems, they are never good quality. so unless ive misunderstood what you ment, which you have my apologies if i have, i cant help you any more at this point since this forum does not support piracy.
