FF9 Battle Slowdown/FF8 Title Credit Slow

Hello all!

So my emulators were working perfectly, then I upgraded my graphics card from my 800gt to a radeon 5770. Now I am experiencing very slow battles in FF9, slow to the point of unplayable. I've been using Pete's open gl2 driver 2.9 and I've tried various settings that I've found on these boards, none of which solve my problem.

On top of this, when i play FF8, the intro music and credit sequence are super slow as well.

Anyone know what the problem might be? Are there plugins more friendly to the radeon 5770? Any help would be great.

set the VRAM amount manually, do not use the auto-detect setting.

you said you upgraded your card, do you have the latest drivers for it installed? do you experience similar problems with any of the other video plugins? can you post the rest of your system specs?

does this same problem occur with other video plugins like the software, D3d, or OGL1?
