No...from what I've seen, the 7900gs (overclocked of course) rapes the 8600 in most tests...Browse extremetech and other sites to find out more about that. The only thing the 8600's have going for them is HD content playback and DX10.

I don't know, but even if you OC the 8600, it's price point is still way higher than the 7900's. It' simply not worth it. You're better off staying with DX9 until a decent mid range DX10 card shows up.

The X1950XT costs 375$ right now.. and u know how prices decline over time? Not here.

Well, a friend of mine who lives in the US offered to buy me an 8800 GTX when he came over.. but i ended up waiting till the last second (thats me) to ship it and i forgot that Newegg dont work on Sunday, so now i have to pay 1000$ for it, yay!
