Those settings seem ok AFAIK. My guess is that its not a sound problem at all, but rather a speed one. What are your system specs, and your graphics plugin settings? You may have the resolution too high for your machine, for instance.

 

My specs are:

AMD XP 1500+ (1333), 256 MB RAM, 2x60 GB HD, Geforce 2 32 MB, SB Live!

Running at:

1280x1024 @ 32 bit

Running OS:

Microsoft Windows XP Pro

 

oc your graphics card and shut off/ turn off all uneccesary applications. like have epsxe the only app running

 

You'll get lag if you have the sound buffer set that high. A sound buffer of 10 or 11 should suffice. Also get rid of SPUasync and change it to Thread. And for Chrono Cross you don't need the two SPU IRQ choices enabled, just the Update Before Accessing Register one.

 

The lag might be because you are running in a high resoloution. Do you get this problem in 640x480?

Yes...I have the problem in 640x480. Shall I change the windows resolution too?

 

That shouldn't affect it, unless you have 'Change Desktop resoloution' off.

 

When I set the resolution to 400x300, the sound is great, but it looks ugly! Any good options to set, to make the sound, sound good, AND the graphic look good? (the text is hard to read in 640x480) I have these configurations:

 

Disable Screen Smoothing, set off-screen drawing to 2 or 3.

try not using 32-bit at all. i don't see any difference between 16 and 32
does anyone know how to use texture filtering without making the letters in chrono cross messy?

 

That would be 4 IIRC. You will notice the differece between 32 and 16 in 32 scenes tho.

 

It's perfect now. I thank you all. (Strange all the efford to make the game sound/look good on PC, when you have the PSX, just too lazy to set the cables together )
