Yep, it's back. Thankfuly not in full strength, but it's back.
After several months I've decided to play Spyro the Dragon. But after starting the game, GFX glitches appears: counter dissapearing and also some of the textures.
Anybody else having this issue?

im not using ATI hardware atm so i cant confirm it but if the latest catalyst drivers are in fact causing this problem again then my suggestion would be to just roll back to an older set for the time being.

using the preview driver or the official driver?

I'm using leaked more recent drivers.

Just tried Spyro The Dragon and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. Both tend to have a random poly flickering for less than a second, but the Spyro The Dragon indeed has problems with its 3D HUD. The counters and icons appear and disappear with a tendency to remain invisible.

If you remember the previous driver that worked correctly, try putting the OGL files into the ePSXe folder (as opposed to replacing the system files).

that doesn't mean anything.

the opengl ICD should not contain any card specific information.

Yeah you can.

Go here and download option 1. It will download a small driver utility. Run it to verify that your video card will work with the drivers and it will download the full driver to the location you specify.

BTW - I'm assuming in the link that you are running a 64bit version of Windows 7.

2. I need new drivers for my new graphics card Mobility Radeon HD 5650.
Uh, OK. Why exactly do you need older drivers?

Clarification is needed.

EDIT: nm, I see what you're trying to do now. You can extract the ATI OpenGL ICD from an older driver package and place it into your epsxe folder so it supersedes your current driver's ICD without having to actually install the old driver.

You can take a driver package created before the HD5xxx series was ever released and make use of its ICD.

Starting from 10.3 ATI Catalyst support mobility graphic, you don't need to depend on vendor anymore. So try cat 10.3-10.6 to see which one resolve your problem (try 10.3 as it seems that starting from Opengl 4.0 introduction in 10.4, they break a lot of OGL games.)

info : What's New: AMD's Catalyst 10.2 & 10.3 Drivers - AnandTech :: Your Source for Hardware Analysis and News
from cat 10.3 release notes :
The following notebooks are not supported in this release:
- Any notebook launched after this driver release
- Switchable Graphics enabled notebooks using Intel chipsets.
- Toshiba notebooks (please contact the notebook OEM for driver
support for these notebooks)
- Sony VAIO notebooks (please contact the notebook OEM for
driver support for these notebooks)
- Panasonic notebooks (please contact the notebook OEM for
driver support for these notebooks)

To be more specific, you have to use the laptop specific drivers. The "regular" Catalyst drivers won't work. Well, they didn't work for me anyway.

The link in one of my previous posts takes you to the right place for the Windows 7 64bit version. Currently running Cat 10.6 official (laptop release) with no problems.

Yeah that's what I thought at first, but when the official drivers refused to install I checked the driver .inf file and saw no entries for any of the mobile GPUs.

The site needs to be fixed because if you try to find the right driver from the main page's drop-down boxes, it says that you need to contact your vendor for a new driver. If you click on the "Support & Drivers" tab though and fill out the info accordingly, you will be able to find and download the official mobility drivers.

- Switchable Graphics enabled notebooks using Intel chipsets.
That is my case.
Ah, damn. :( That explains it.

Do you remember any particular Catalyst version where Spyro didn't have those problems? I can lend a hand at extracting the OpenGL ICD and posting it here for you to download.

I think the 9.3 drivers were a good release. I'll wait for a few others to weigh in with their opinions before I get to work extracting the ICD.
