Hi, as everyone know there are those tray Icons you can put on( see pic 1)
Always Hide
Hide when inactive
Always Show

I always put them on "Always Hide" But for some reason after some reboots in windows the Wlan/Lan/Bluetooth cable unplugged one keeps showing up. Weird thing is they never have a name or so, its always unnamed blablabla.

It's not a big deal but it's been going on ever since i know XP. And i just have to manual put them on Always Hide again. So i was wondering if there is a reg tweak to permanently hide all tray icons. Or atleast a way permanently hide the network icon. I prefer not to use software which is required at startup...

Yes i know this is just a minor thing and bit silly, but there really getting annoying, and i hope to find the reason to why it happens and find a way to make it stop.

Thanks whoever that can help this poor soul in his never ending battle against the tray icons that keep on showing....

mm think you mis understood me Shafeen, i mean the tray icon showing that the cable is unplugged. It shows some network icon like pic 1. And the weird thing is the tray icons that pop up never have a title. Its always "no title" as name. The thing is they are on "always hide" and just keep popping up.

And disabling the network cards isn't a option, if i take my notebook to school i'm usually using wired. Though i'm always on wireless at home.

I did that a long time ago, unfortunately that isn't it either :( Yea i tried alot already, those bugged icons just keep showing up... :(

But thanks for helping :thumb:

Hmm...If you disable them they will disapper Right.
But you will you usa a wired Connection at school Right.
Why dont you just disable the one's you dont need when you are at home
and when you go to school (or when you visit me :D j/k) you enable the one's you need and after you finish or go back home you disable it again.

I know it's a ''lot'' of work but it works.
