A lot of people want compression support on nulldc, to save some disk space... but i have an alternate idea.
Just a thought.... For people that have a lot of dreamcast cd images on his hard drive (cdi, ngr, etc) and want to save some space.
A lot of dreamcast isos have a file called "dummy", that is just some file making space so the burned cd have = 700 mb. For example, some games are just 50 mb, but the iso is like 700 mb... That is 650 mb of pure crap (the "dummy" file).
So, i came up with the idea of editing the iso files, erasing the dummy file and then make a self-boot cd image with bootdreams or something like that. The thing is, that i have no clue how to use that program, so, if there is someone that knows.... I really want to know if this idea can be implemented, so i can reduce my 20 gigs of dreamcast roms on my hard drive to 5 gigs or less.
Can anybody try this?
