I too want ToD II I was holding the game in Japan and came so close to buying it! But I wasn't confident enough with my japanese to buy it! :(, They simply most do a english release of it though, considering how good Tales of Phantasia and Tales of Eternia are! ToD I was a bit of a let down though, even if that too was an above average RPG.

According to a sticky in Namco's boards, the chance of a US release for the older PS2 Tales (Destiny 2, Symphonia, Rebirth) games is zero. :( If you want to play them, you'll have to get the Jap version.

I got Destiny 2, and it's quite playable if you know a minimum of japanese, you can get story translation and gameplay FAQs from GameFAQs.com.

And my copy of Rebirth should be here tomorrow! :)

So I guess that means that they dropped the American PS2 port of Tales of Symphonia? That really sucks, I've been waiting thinking they were going to release it. Looks like I will have to buy a GC now just to get it. I guess I'll get those other Zelda games too.

The Dejap Top did have a few errors in it the last time I played it. There's a few chests that will make a text box pop up and you'll have to just going thru it till it's done. I'm not to sure if it was because I already had too many of the item or if it was something that went thru unchecked. Still a good translation though.

An american release for ToS PS2 is extremely unlikely, Nintendo itself paid the translation costs for the GCN version.

I guess what I remember reading was the Japanese only PS2 port. I remember reading it on IGN but couldn't remember if it was coming here. Looks like I'm going to have to get a GC. Last time I checked I could get one for $59 used at the local Gamestop. Not too bad...

o_o... how could I miss this. I mean, I am the #540850u923 ToP's fan in the whole world. Now seriously, I have been looking to play the remade version (with Fujibayashi Suzu as a playable character!) for a long time now. I don't care if it is released in Atari 2600, it is tales! yay for the fanboy in me :)
