I've never gotten a ticket myself.... however on my first driving weeks I miscalculated the car's size when taking a turn and hit another because I miscalculated the distances as well :D Fortunately it was minor and since we both had insurances it wasn't that big of a deal. Since then I haven't had any problem (well... except for last week.... I was entering a highspeed, took a glance at the rearmirrors... when I turned back my sight the car in front of me had completely stopped, so i had to hit the brakes and turn around immediatly... for once I was glad I have good reflexes :D)
That's what you get for doing mathematics while driving :p

I don't have a car nor licence yet. But my parents might leave their car in my hands next year. Though, they are not sure if it will be a good decision or not,...they know what will happen if I...

Haha, here in Holland they just pull em over with a tractor, or make a torch out of them :p

Like you said, it's a good way to make some easy money. But I do think that at strategic places (corners of where is known a lot of accidents happen) it is good to reduce speed.
But there are a lot of them for the €€€€€

wow, and I thought redlight cameras were bad, I'd be ****ed if the us did speed cameras.

what do u think those little black rubber... things that they lay accross the road are? i bet its rigged to a camera somewhere. btw, i had one of those things that said "your speed is" and displayed your speed of r the world to see set up around my area. it took them 3 weeks for them to figgure out that it was miss calibrated it had me doing 65 in a 30 mile zone once oO

I tend to just walk or cycle everywhere now. Keeps you fit, saves a lot of money, and gets you on friendly terms with the Greenpeace chicks. :D :D :D

Plus I'm more angry nowadays. Anger + driving + country roads = makes a good Mortal Kombat fatality.

lol lets see what i been throught.......1 month after i got my lic going 60 in a 25
2 months after i got my lic 89 in a 55 after leaving a club

Then some guy made an illegal turn and smashed in to my car door when i was in new york on my way to the club...Best part is...it was on 4/20 so the cops thought i was high...even tho i dont smoke....but i was gonna get drunk later that night..(and since its a lexus...cost me a good 3-4k to fix it)

now heres the best part......since my car is a performance car with performance parts.....i didnt have a front license plate because of the body kit........got like 8 tickets for that then i just ziped tied it on....
then i got another speeding ticket for going 40 in a 25.....which if ind retarded......
then i got pulled over to a check point...everything hcked out other then the fact i lost my insurance card, and i just had court for it to show i had proof of it.

Then there was this 1 time a cop pulled me over after i left a friends house drinking....he made me jump, hop, walk a line, say the ABC's and count #'s....but he let me go since i was honest about how many drinks i had and where i was going.

and as for parking tickets........lets just say....i live in new jersey and travel to new york alot....and i dont carry change....so with int he past 4 years......maybe more then $2,000 in parking tickets.......and still getting em.....lol

other then those...i cant remember much else....i know theres more i just cant remember

Hmm... I have 3 speeding tickets... been only driving for a year... and been in two accidents... I sorta ran into a concrete divide, broke my leg and hand, [sarcasm]made for a very fun summer[/sarcasm]..... Yeah, then I got another ticked on the first day that I got my new car (which was totaled by me =] ) during like the first 20 minutes of driving... But now I drive my parents SUV, and I cant really go fast cause it eats a ****load of fuel.....

I have a tool that prevents cam's from reading your license plate. Doesnt prevent cops 100% but it helps. I hate speed traps, I got a ticket once coming down a steep hill which was about 1/2 mile long and very steep and a cop just sitting there at the end in the bush masturbating waiting for some poor-hardworking-lawbiting-citizen to make a booboo :???:

all that an you have your drivin license for a year? oO you're blind or have heavy leg on your gass pedal?...

My driving history is pretty uneventful. a bump and a wreck. The bump happened on my way home from work. a couple volunteer firefighters came by so i pulled over. Well, the guy in front of me starts pulling over again. I looked ahead and didnt see anything so i figured he was letting me pass for whatever reason. Went to pass and saw another volunteer firefighter, so i pulled over. All that happened was a little bit of rubbing on my car and nothing on the truck that was ahead of me.

The wreck was a little more interesting. I was doing a delivery and missed the road i was looking for (as usual heh). So i started trying to find a driveway to pull around in. I saw a couple and started slowing down for them, and found out i couldnt slow down enough to make them, so i kept going (killing my car in the process, forgot to downshift). Found a driveway i could make so i started slowing down again. The truck behind me doesnt know what im doing (i didnt have my turn signal on.. ) and trys to pass me on the left, while im turning left. He rammed into me. Just some quarter panel damage on my car and a little dent on his bumper was all that happened (no injurys thank God). Both vehicles were still very drivable so we just swapped name and numbers. I later found out that on an unmarked road, the guy behind you can pass you and you have to watch what hes doing (in Ohio). I found out today that the road was marked (double yellow so no passing) and the guy told the police that he knew he shouldnt have passed. (so i get my car fixed)

Side note: i think this is the longest reply ive ever had to a thread :p

btw Boltzman: thats so funny. my dad used a radar detecter on the way to flordia and twice that thing went off. Right after it went off my dad slowed down and the cars next to him got pulled over.
