mmmmkay here it goes.


one month after starting to drive: ACCIDENT (MY FAULT)
eight months later: SPEEDING TICKET
one month later: ACCIDENT (MY FAULT)
11 months later: SPEEDING TICKET
12 months later: SPEEDING TICKET

yeah, since starting to drive I managed to get a speeding ticket every november for 3 years. I drove VERY nicely this past november and managed to scrape clean

I've gotten nothing and I have had my license for 2 years. I think it might be that I don't have a car, I just borrow other family members car if I need to. It doesn't not being insured.

I was in my first accident when I was 17 I think. It was no-fault, but if the cop looked around and saw that there wasn't a left-turn arrow, it would have been his fault. $200 damage to his Pathfinder and $2500 to my Mustang. Fixed it for $500, juckyard are great!
I then got a ticket for 67 in a 35 in a "Agressive Driving Enforment Area" about a month later. That one really hurt. Then about 3 warnings for wreckless driving and showing off in about 6 months.
I've been clean for the past 7 years. I still drive like a bat out of hell, it's just more cautious.

Some advice if you're ever in a accident, take pictures. Pictures of everything. Lights, skid marks, damage to both vehicles, everything. If it's in the police report, it needs a picture.

One time when going to work I purposely got pulled over by a cop so I had a good excuse to be late. I was going too slow apparently: 15mph in a 40mph area. I didn't get a speeding ticket, because it would have been illegal. I did however get a little bit of paperwork to flash at my boss though. God bless Lothian & Borders Police for actually being on active patrol.

So always remember this: if you think you're going to be late for work and there's a police car near you, floor it. On either pedal.

I don't drive, so I never got any tickets

But my boss' father has lots of stories to tell. There was a time (2 years ago) when he went from Rio de Janeiro (where we live) to São Paulo (a nearby city) in 2 hours, breaking all speed limits. He was fined more than 10 times in the entire travel, and lost his driver's license after it :lol:

They only problems I've ever had driving were hitting cars while I was parking. Believe it or not it's happened to me 3 times in the two years I've had my liscence. On the bright side, only once was the damage actually noticible. I think it sounds pathetic though that I can handle rush hour traffic at 60mph, but I can't get drive a car into a rectangular space at 5mph .

Head on collision with a van (I was in a sedan) at about 30 mph. Surprisingly the van got more damage than my car. When it happened it was so fast that I didn't realize that I had a shard of glass in my arm. I just got out of my car to see if everyone was alright. When asked if I needed an ambulance I said, "No, why?" He replied cause you're arm is bleeding like crazy and it was. My pants were nearly soaked in blood. Oh well it was a long time ago and because of that experience I drive slooooooooow. Like old people...really really slow.

i havent gottten a ticket yet and its almost 2 yrs now. it sux that u got fined for running a stop sign man. my friend, to whom stop lights dont exist, has never been caught for it. i once rode in his car and he literally ran 8 in a row on a busy street. i guess it just wasnt ur day.

I've never gotten a ticket myself.... however on my first driving weeks I miscalculated the car's size when taking a turn and hit another because I miscalculated the distances as well Fortunately it was minor and since we both had insurances it wasn't that big of a deal. Since then I haven't had any problem (well... except for last week.... I was entering a highspeed, took a glance at the rearmirrors... when I turned back my sight the car in front of me had completely stopped, so i had to hit the brakes and turn around immediatly... for once I was glad I have good reflexes )

Bad Yelo! Caught speeding...

My traffic violations are a direct result of my inattentiveness. Recently was caught going 68 in a 55 zone (the cop wrote me up at only 10 over, so my insurance wouldn't spike...being a woman rocks, XD). A couple of years ago I was ticketed for going 50 in a 35, (though I had been going 50 in the previous 55 zone too). I was driving a friend home, and as it turns out, I can't talk and drive at the same time. My sentences come out irritatingly slow and fragmented: "So I, like, said...um.......like....you know what I'm saying.......and she...like....got all pissed off....[continues on like this until destination is reached]."
