1st of all, chankast supports swapping cds, is just utopia has another bug that doenst let it work.

there is a 1st_read.bin file for everygame, ip.bin is any, some games have different names for the 1st_read.bin file, maybe a list of the files on that cd could help.

mmm, its easy, just take out ur current cd or wunmount your image, and then just insert the new one, it worked here when... okok not in game because i havent tested, i ahvent need to swap discs :p but if u do that on the bios it just read the new one and u can start it

Recognizin 1st_boot.bin

Ok, im in work right now, so i cannot paste the listing of the cd. but maybe you could help me, what is the correct manner to recognize this file (asumming it has another name), is a fixed size? by content? and viewing in ascii mode ?
thanks!!

mmm... it has to be between 1000kb and 2000kb approximatedly... dunno how else -.-

the game is soul calibur 2, but, in the game and in the cover of the cd, the name is other (grrr, i cant remember right now the name.). i suppose that soul calibur is the american name and in japan has another name and i have the japan version.. in a few hours i will be at home and i will be posting the content of the cd and the name. thanks !!!

mine is 530mb, of course i deleted the dummy file to reach that, before it was like 785 or somethen

1. mount the image (on daemon is better)
2. copy the CD content to "fastboot\Data" folder
3. copy 1st_read.bin and ip.bin from "fastboot\data" folder to "fastboot\" folder (if there is no ip.bin there is no prob)
4. run binhack with setings
4.1 binary file = 1st_read.bin
4.2 bootsector = ip.bin
4.3 msinfo = 0,0
5. after binhack copy 1st_read.bin and ip.bin to data folder again
6. run b2b_game.bat

what is the procedure after step 6?
The command prompt ask if you would like to make a Ip.BIN?
I not sure what to do next after this.

just tell it to do the ip.bin (but if it doesnt read the ip.bin on the game you either forgot to copy paste the files again to the data folder or havent run binhack or somethen) and it will create the image.cdi file

Hello, I followed through your guide but when I start emulating using daemon 3.46, Chankast reads the image.cdi file as an audio cd with 2 tracks. Any solution to this problem? thanks
yeah daemon tools 3.46 seems to have that problem, use daemon tools 3.44 and enable all the emulation options or use daemon tools 3.29.

or as talfi already said use the bootdisc loader 1.2 and swap the discs, but anyway it didnt work for me :p
